Sharing with you our family's recent ministry opportunity.

After our family's Christmas gathering, we drove to Caburacan, Bukidnon to join their first Hipanaw Camp 2024. Pastor Blu, beginning with the counselors' training a week prior, preached, and made sure the program flowed smoothly, including befriending the campers, facilitating the games, overseeing and encouraging the counselors. Machi joined as one of the youngest campers and was an asset to his group. Sis. Cha helped wherever she was needed.

All glory and praise to the Lord Almighty for His mercy, protection, and provision for the whole camp! Several campers made professions of faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

We are thankful to the pastors, staff, and brethren from Eternity Baptist Church who persevered and diligently worked throughout the week. You are a blessing to us!

Also, we rejoice that two of the young ladies who attend our weekly Bible studies were able to come with us. Please pray for Lorelyn and Janelle that the Lord continuously opens their hearts and minds to the gospel of Christ.

We met with the Bible club children for the final time this year last Sunday. Some of the kids, including a mother, stood around instead of participating in the games and we missed the others.

We were able to prepare some gifts and snacks for everyone because of the generosity of our brethren, but we are even more thankful for the chance to share the story of Jesus' birth because we believe that salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ is the most amazing gift anyone can ever receive!

Please keep saying a prayer for these kids and for us that our family would be humbled so that the Lord might use us boldly in reaching out to their families and sharing the gospel to them and others in the community.

Happening now: E-camp Counselors’ Training

Please pray that the brethren from Bukidnon who arrived in Balingasag today would learn and benefit from the training until tomorrow. May God's strength and wisdom be with everyone.

Except for a few kids, every time we gather children for Bible club, we see different faces. Some familiar but mostly new ones. It can be challenging to keep track of who's who, but we are glad God is bringing them to us.

These children have souls, and every one of them is important to the Lord. Help us pray for their salvation and growth. And may our Heavenly Father be our strength and guidance as He uses us to reach these precious souls for Him!

Praise the Lord with us for our landlady's loving heart! She contacted us one day in September and said they wanted to send money to tile the floors. We only need to look for workers.

She called at the best possible time since Pastor Jermy, who is currently in Balingasag, is an excellent tile installer. The tiles are finally complete, thanks to his labor of love and a little help from us.

After two weeks of on & off work, we were able to worship last Sunday with new floors and a stage backdrop. What a blessing!

The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few.

Ptr. Jay will be staying with us for 13 weeks. Our goal is to share the gospel to students at the plaza every afternoon.

Please pray that God will work in the hearts of those who heard and will be hearing the gospel message.

The skies were cloudy and it was windy. We initially thought it would rain and that maybe there would only be a handful of children attending our Bible club. But the Lord answered our prayer and withheld the rain just until we finished the hour.

Instead of showers, we had different "problems" yesterday:
1. The children were reading and singing so loudly, Sis. Cha and Malachi can barely hear themselves.
2. Pastor Blu has to walk left and right to ensure that everyone sees the wordless book.
3. We were short on refreshments. Yesterday's attendance was the highest we've ever had, with 32 kids, the kids, teens, and adults who were just sitting around and observing not included.

Praise the Lord who is strong and rich, capable of providing, strengthening, and guiding us in everything we do!

Thank you, brethren, for praying for us. Please pray that the Lord will give us wisdom on what to do next with this ministry, and that, in His time, these youngsters will put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.

Praise the Lord for another opportunity for Pastor Blu to share the Word of God, this time with the branch managers of Freedom Life, where Bro. Ric is the regional director.

He also had the opportunity to travel to Manila over the weekend (August 24-25) to preach at two churches in Quezon City: Living Word Baptist Church and Gospel Light Baptist Church. We thank God for the fellowship and encouragement we receive every time we visit brethren in different locations.

During that weekend, the brethren left at Balingsag continued to worship together. It was unusually hot that Sunday due to the brownout, but our speaker, Pastor Jurven, preached God's Word with zeal.

Brownouts and blackouts are common in our region. They can last anything from 5 minutes to 8 hours on certain days. We don't mind them too much, but if it happens on a Sunday, it can be pretty difficult in our rental due to limited ventilation (even with fans). Nonetheless, we are happy that the Lord constantly helps us find ways to focus in worship despite the heat.

Praise God for opening doors! The Lord has blessed us with opportunities to share the gospel the past week.

On Thursday, our family went to the people's park at Balingasag to hand out gospel tracts. Pastor Blu had an opportunity to share the gospel with a group of young ladies. By the grace of God, he was able to compose himself and calmly finish what he was sharing with them, even though a religious defender of false faith was trying to distract him and ask questions to cause a scene. We weren't able to get the names of the young ladies because of the man, but please pray that the Lord will use the seed planted in them to grow and convict them of their need for a Savior.

On Friday, Pastor Blu was invited to share a devotional with a group of insurance agents. This was possible because Bro. Ric, a brother in the Lord who is assigned temporarily in the area, is the company's regional director. Pray that this will be the beginning of regular Bible studies and that the Lord will soften their hearts to the gospel.

Yesterday, more kids joined us! We're glad that they are starting to recognize us and hopefully continue to trust us. We pray that the Lord will use this ministry and these children to start a fire that will spread the good news of Christ's saving grace in the hearts of the Balingasagnons.

May the Lord keep our family strong and safe to do His will with joy.
