Success without humility often turns into arrogance. But success wrapped in humility brings honor, earns respect, and glorifies God.
Proverbs 16:18–19 (NIV)
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be lowly in spirit along with the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.
Reflection-
Success is a blessing from God, not merely the result of our own abilities. When we forget the One who gave us our talents, opportunities, and strength, pride can quietly take over. Humility reminds us that every achievement is made possible by God's grace. A humble person remains teachable, grateful, and willing to serve others no matter how successful they become.
Application-
Thank God for every achievement instead of taking all the credit.
Celebrate your success without looking down on others.
Stay teachable and open to correction.
Use your blessings, talents, and influence to help and encourage others.
Remember where God brought you from, and always give Him the glory.
Thought to ponder-
The greatest people are not those who think highly of themselves, but those who think highly of God. Let your success point people to Christ, not to yourself.
