Sunday Gospel Reminder 🔥

📖 Jeremiah 20:9

The fire of the Holy Spirit is powerful and transformative. We need the fire that comes from God’s Word, the Refiner’s fire, the Holy Spirit’s fire, and the unquenchable fire. His fire works within us attracts, burns, purifies, melts, and spreads. As believers, we are called to be passionate and on fire for God, allowing the Holy Spirit to work through our lives and fulfill His purpose.

“You can never start a fire unless it is already burning in you.”

May the fire of the Holy Spirit continue to burn brightly within us and lead us to live passionately for God. 🙏

Due to the continuous rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), we are 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 our on-site Sunday Service today, August 9, 2026 at Glory Bound Community Church.

To ensure everyone’s safety, we urge everyone to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel. Please continue to monitor the latest weather updates and follow the advisories and instructions from local authorities.

However, we can still worship together from the comfort of our own homes. Let us continue to pray for one another, especially for the safety of our families and the protection of our community.

Prayer Guidance:
📖 Psalm 91:1–2
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’”

Let us remain prayerful and trust in God’s protection during this time.

Sunday Gospel Reminder ✨

Through Jesus Christ, we have received the gift of the Holy Spirit, who empowers, guides, and transforms us. As we abide in God’s Word, walk in obedience, and remain faithful in prayer, the Holy Spirit works in and through us to fulfill the Father’s purpose for our lives.

May we continually surrender ourselves to God and faithfully live out the anointing He has graciously given for His glory.

Sunday Gospel Recap ✨

Topic: The Church That Tolerated Sin
Text: Revelation 2:18–29

Jesus commended the church for their love, faith, service, and perseverance. However, He also rebuked them for tolerating sin and false teaching. A church may be active in ministry, but it must also remain faithful to God’s truth.

1. He Commends the Service of the Church (v.19)
Jesus recognized their works, love, faith, service, and perseverance. God sees every faithful act done for His glory.

2. He Confronts the Sin in the Church (vv.20–23)
Despite their good works, they tolerated false teaching and sin. Christ calls His church to stand firmly in truth and pursue holiness.

3. He Comforts the Saints in the Church (vv.24–29)
Jesus encouraged those who remained faithful to hold on to Him and promised them victory and eternal reward.

God desires a church that is not only busy in ministry but also holy in character. Let us serve with love, live in obedience, and remain faithful until Christ returns.
