As the bells of celebration draw near, YouFra Cabuyao is preparing something very special for this year’s 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 in honor of our beloved 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐢 — whose life continues to be a clear guide in praising God with all creation.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 II Way of the Cross 2025: Pilgrims of Hope

"𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶, 𝘖 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘠𝘰𝘶, 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥."

Last March 30, 2025, the Franciscan Youth (YouFra) and the Secular Franciscan Order (OFS) of Cabuyao embarked on a spiritual journey, praying the Way of the Cross through the streets of Dita, Sta. Rosa, Laguna, and Poblacion 1 & 2 in Cabuyao, Laguna.

This solemn Lenten activity was made more meaningful by the participation of different families, each lovingly assigned to lead one of the 14 stations. Together, we walked, reflected, and prayed — not just as individuals, but as a united Franciscan community journeying with Christ in His Passion.

The Way of the Cross (𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴) was first popularized by 𝐒𝐭. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐢, who, moved by deep compassion for Christ's suffering, introduced this devotion to allow the faithful to spiritually accompany Jesus on His way to Calvary. It became a powerful form of meditation, especially for those who could not make a physical pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

As we observe the Jubilee Year 2025 with the theme “Pilgrims of Hope,” this tradition reminds us that amid suffering, pain, and uncertainty, we are never alone — we walk with Christ, and we walk with one another. May our hearts be filled with renewed hope as we continue our pilgrimage through life, rooted in faith, love, and the Franciscan spirit.

Sama- sama tayong maglakbay sa taon ng hubilehiyo tangan tangan sa ating mga puso ang liwanag at kapayakan ng Panginoong nagkatawang tao.

Maging huwaran nawa tayo sa kapwa manlalakbay ng may pakikiisa sa kanilang damdamin, pagtanggap at pagyakap kahit na ano ang kanilang katayuan sa lipunan.

Sama- sama tayong maglakbay ng may pag-asa, pagmamalasakit at pagmamahal. Maging salamin nawa tayo ng liwanag ni Kristo - ang pag-asa ng sambayanang Pilipino at maging tanglaw sa kapwa Peregrino!

Ating ipinagdiriwang ang Feast Day ni Santa Elizabeth ng Hungary, patrona ng Third Order of St. Francis (OFS) at huwaran ng pananampalataya, kabutihan, at paglilingkod sa mahihirap. 🙏✨

Si Santa Elizabeth ay kilala sa kanyang malasakit sa mga nangangailangan. Sa kabila ng pagiging isang reyna, pinili niyang mamuhay nang simple, inuuna ang mga mahihirap at may sakit. Isa sa kanyang mga milagro ay ang "Miracle of the Roses," kung saan ang dala niyang tinapay para sa mahihirap ay naging mga rosas nang siya'y kausapin ng kanyang asawa tungkol sa kanyang pagiging bukas-palad. 🌹💖

Para sa Franciscan Youth, si Santa Elizabeth ay inspirasyon ng radikal na pagmamahal at malasakit sa kapwa. Sa kabila ng kanyang pribilehiyo, mas pinili niya ang pagpapakumbaba at paglilingkod—isang paalala sa ating lahat na ang tunay na yaman ay makikita sa pagmamahal at paggawa ng mabuti.

Nawa’y tularan natin si Santa Elizabeth sa ating sariling mga buhay, bilang mga kabataang Franciscano na tinatawag na maglingkod at magmahal nang walang hinihintay na kapalit. 💪🔥
