In his homily during the Opening Eucharistic Celebration of the CBCPβEpiscopal Commission on Family and Life National Conference at Balanghai Hotel, Butuan City
Rooted in Eucharistic theology, this message reflects the mystery of Christβs abiding presence. Just as Jesus remains with His Church in the Eucharist, faithful, self-giving, and unwavering, so too are families called to mirror this covenantal love. To βstayβ is not mere endurance, but a participation in Christβs sacrificial fidelity. In choosing presence over withdrawal, forgiveness over resentment, and communion over isolation, the family becomes a living sign of Godβs steadfast love.
In this way, perseverance within the family is not simply human effort; it is grace at work Christ dwelling where love chooses to remain.
