UPDATE FROM ELDER LIBRON ❤️

Subject: Huling Siklo

In the past few weeks, I have been very discouraged because of the many prayers that weren't answered the way I asked. Until GenCon came and it was really a spirit filled moment for me as I heard many wonderful inspired counsels and doctrine that really struck my heart teaching me something I think I already knew before.

What highlighted me was with Elder Holland's beautiful message, “It is for reasons known only to God why prayers are answered differently than we hope—but I promise you they are heard and they are answered according to His unfailing love and cosmic timetable.” Which I think brought a cliche experience for me this week that really made me feel His presence in a cliche manner.

Surprisingly, this week two of my prayers were answered. First is that I will not be transferred and will be spending my last cycle in the mission here in Bongabon. 🥳 Second, that the prayer of these children to be answered (Kiel and Rixyline) which is to witness and baptize them in the church. (It took a literal 3 months for them to finally make covenants with God) and I can't stop shouting hosanna for He heard and answered!

A gentle reminder to always pray, He Is There! 💕

Highlights,

Kiel and Rixyline baptism day, it has been an answered prayer and wonderful day to witness such precious souls enter into the fold of God.

Attended Temple Dedication this week as well and was glad to see wonderful people in my past areas. Especially Brother Prince De Guzman, one of our recent convert from my past area in Palayan whom I taught in the same month last year. It was really heartwarming to know and feel how he had become matured in all ways through the gospel. I felt how he was excited telling me that he passes the sacrament on Sundays, he tries his best working with the missionaries and of course, he being a participant for this years FSY 🥳 BUT best of the best is that he still has the desire to serve God through going to a full-time Mission! I am much more excited I think than he is 😁

that's owl for now, ingat!

UPDATE FROM ELDER LIBRON ❤️

One of the greatest lesson I've learned is written in Proverbs 29:18 on where it warned us that, 'Where there is no vision, the people perish.'

This lesson had brought a huge impact on my journey as a Full-time missionary. Where planning sessions made more effective, an increased joy in missionary work and a consistent gradual growth of hope and faith in every wonderful design He has for me, and for these precious people. And this past week, the question “What will your plan be?” pops up in my mind and literally on the screen often to every part I take in the MyPlan course we missionaries are taking to help us envision what our future should be which I think, I had been very grateful for the inspired revelatory proposes that the Holy Spirit teaches me that hopefully will come to reality in its grandest version! 🌟

1 cycle more to prepare 😬

Once upon a time in the middle of the month of March, I had envisioned something great from an awesome friend of ours, John Mark Partosa. He is the son of our recent convert here in bongabon, a son whom I can be described as alike to the Prodigal Son in Jesus's Parable (with his consent). Once lived life to its fullest, been exposed to vices and been doing the temporal satisfactions that this temporal world offers. When suddenly introduced to us missionaries and has created a surrounding of brotherhood, laughter, and spirit-filled bond. To my surprised, it was such a moment because he is more than ready to embrace change and finally be perfected in Him. And so, the vision then became reality last saturday, as we witnessed his most awaited opportunity to be baptized and join his Dad to the Lords fold! PLUS, what makes us feel greater joy is to hear words coming from his mouth, “Hintayin niyo, ako na susunod na magbabahagi sa mga naibahagi ninyo!” Right now, there is nothing I know to do but to prayerfully support and cheer him to what He envisions to himself now, that soon will be happening too!

UPDATE FROM ELDER LIBRON ❤️

“The temple is the gateway to the greatest blessings”
-President Nelson

I was saddened last month that we weren't allowed to go to the newly built temple here in the Philippines which brought closer to my home province, the Urdaneta Temple. However, I still felt more joy in my heart to see my family, friends, and of course those I baptized in my past areas and now here in Bongabon, have seen how great and felt God's love for them inside the house of God.

One of them whom I admire her vulnerability in hiding her feelings and impression to the Holy Spirit is whom I mentioned in my previous email, Sister Gemma. She mentioned "Ganun pala ang pakiramdam sa langit, (sa loob ng templo), you can't really think of a single problem" .In which I so testify what Jesus Christ said, that for every temple which will be established in the world, will fulfill the promise stated in the Doctrine and Covenants section 110:7 "I will manifest myself to my people in mercy in this house." I know that as President Nelson said, "it is possible for you and me to enjoy every spiritual blessing we are willing and worthy to receive because of the Restoration of the Priesthood keys in these latter days."

I want to testify that in this church which we belong is the only true church of Jesus Christ on the earth today, & holds the key that will lead us to the gateway for those promises that President Nelson stated and I testify that with all my heart!

Ingat palagi ♥️

UPDATE FROM ELDER LIBRON ❤️

One of the things that makes me admire bongabon is that every afternoon, before it gets dark, is God's beautiful creation. Which i truly testify that He truly is the greatest Artist of all.

Yesterday, while we were walking, and looking for people to teach with this beautiful sight, there was nothing else I wanted to share with the people we would meet but about the Plan of Salvation, just as how this beautiful scenery was planned to bless me and His children. In one home, we spoke to a mother who was hanging out outside her home, while her children were inside playing and messing around. I couldn't stop myself from immediately approaching and introducing myself, and it was just right that I happily shared about God's love and plan to his entire family. I often ask people, "Gaano ka importante ang pamilya sa iyo?", and of course the answer is always, "Aba e syempre mahalaga!". But at this point when I asked this mother, a strong impression entered my mind as if I had a vision while sharing about the great plan to be sealed as a family through eternity, and there was none other than hers. She was so kind and accommodating as if it was not our first meeting, that he gave us the opportunity to come back again and of course meet his wonderful family. Right now, vision has been made and I am looking forward to making it happen!

One thing that the Book of Mormon taught me throughout my mission so far about bringing increase joy to families was as simple as what Jesus taught to the Nephites,

3 Nephi 18:21
Pray in your families unto the Father, always in my name, that your wives and your children may be blessed.

Simple doctrine yet a powerful privilege that when missed, blocks the miracles to be unraveled.

I know that as simple as we pray with our loved ones, whether immediate family, with your companions, with your friends, blessings will surely pour out.

yun lang, mag iingat po kayo! 😊

UPDATE FROM ELDER LIBRON ❤️

I wanna start my email by telling you, i received my "Endure Well" letter, yes! The so-called “trunky letter”. 😂

Just a thought.

Some say that receiving this would help you refocus on your purpose and would best help you endure well. Well… not for me, i guess. With honesty, this made me feel much pressured and indeed at some point, brings some negative feelings that I cant even explain 🙃 Nevertheless, I still take counsel from it and I testify that, (wether with regards to full-time mission, or being a disciple of JesusChrist) Enduring until the end will allow you to:

✔️ Draw closer to God
✔️ Conquer temptation and sin
✔️ Enjoy the gift of the Holy Ghost more abundantly

…as we patiently, faithfully and consistently live the gospel and work diligently to keep the commandments of God, we will have greater peace and joy and will grow in Christ-like Attributes.

A scripture verse reminded me this week where it says,
"Sapagkat kung nasaan ang inyong kayamanan, naroon din ang inyong puso."

Always, always refine your desires for it will say who you will become.

UPDATE FROM ELDER LIBRON ❤️
----------
As we were riding back home tonight from an FHE, I can't stop thinking about the song 'Love One Another' where I must say even I am not a good singer, can't stop singing the hymn inside the trike. It just reminds me often to do so, that with anyone I am annoyed to (I know it isn't right) and with every ugly truths about myself, I continue to strive, ‘to struggle and fight vigorously’ to follow Jesus's counsel with us His disciples,

John 13:
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Where President Nelson reiterated that we can Overcome The World throught it! “Overcoming the world means growing to love God and His Beloved Son more than you love anyone or anything else.”

Highlights, Congratulations, Brother Lito Austria and Sister Gemmalyn.

Both more than ready, with selfless commitment having brightness of hope in receiving promised eternal blessings. I admire brother lito for being an epitome of resilience. Background story, he just went through a fire accident in his own gasoline station, where he acquired a 2nd degree burn in almost all parts of his body. With this, brought him to reflect that he is losing track, that he didn't recognize at all that He was too focused on these ‘temporal estates’. This tragedy helped him remember who he really is, and what He wants him to be (as he described in his own words). I love how he is sure with his intention, and ofcourse how he acted upon it! His strong testimony could bring to him the dreams into reality that He could be sealed with his loved one,(Sister Jonie) and to his family! 🫡

Sister Gemma, who is the most sensitive and receptive to the Holy Spirit! She just went back home to the Philippines from India, where her family lives. With her unexpected returning home, her desire to to be baptized back then (when she grew and lived here with a family of members) was recalled. When I first met her, all I can remember she said was "I want to be baptized as soon as possible, to fulfill my brother's dream and for me to have a covenant with God”. I was like, "woaw!” . I'd never liked being a missionary before than it was at that moment! As we teach her, I came to know how really good the Spirit is to teach. She was very fragile to her emotions where every teaching, she never could refrain from being in tears.

addtnl. I'm friends with his brother, whom I worked with before in my past area as a worker, ‘kuya’ and mentor. And now, glad to hear that he's the Branch President! 🫠

I love you all! 💕

UPDATE FROM ELDER LIBRON ❤️

15 Yea, I say unto you come and fear not, and lay aside every sin, which easily doth beset you, which doth bind you down to destruction, yea, come and go forth, and show unto your God that ye are willing to repent of your sins and enter into a covenant with him to keep his commandments, and witness it unto him this day by going into the waters of baptism.

16 And whosoever doeth this, and keepeth the commandments of God from thenceforth, the same will remember that I say unto him, yea, he will remember that I have said unto him, he shall have eternal life, according to the testimony of the Holy Spirit, which testifieth in me.

Highlight of the week: HeartAngel & Angels Baptism 😇❤️

SKL. It's a bit overwhelming for me to think that I've been 18 months out now in the Mission. Seems like it was just yesterday when I was nervous teaching infront of people, fear with speaking to mission leaders and anxious what's gonna happen next in each every day. But gratefully, here am I trying to continually ignite this burning desire to serve the Lord.

UPDATE FROM EDLER LIBRON ❤️

"The greatest compliment that can be earned here in this life is to be known as a covenant keeper."
-Russell Nelson

Serving as a full-time missionary at this time brings oppurtunity for me to continually keep my covenants both at baptism and in the temple I must say, not to give myself too much compliment but yes 😀 I always find gratitude of how God really makes His divine plan for each one of us to discover our divine potential too.

Yesterday a question come up at MLC that made me ponder, "How can we build up dignity in our callings?" What comes to my mind at first was the phrase "COVENANT KEEPER". I like how everyone says its about how you present yourself to others by appearance, actions and respect. But just like what I shared last night, I kind of look at it (callings) as a 'Profession'. Think of a teacher, whom students seek for answers for specific subjects. An engineer whom being contacted if someone wanted to build a house, a doctor to be consulted when in times of illness. And these are like also being "missionary". Dignity for missionaries are when member called you because they have a friend who is interested with our message, a member who contacts missionaries to trim grasses along their yards. We are building that dignity to our callings if we are professionals at this work.

An invitation from me, be masters of your discipleships! 😇

UPDATE FROM ELDER LIBRON ❤️

quick background

I remember when I met nanay Liwayway, she was very dearing as a usual filipina nanay which made me ease my adjustment and feel welcomed since I was just new here then. Before meeting her the first time, during our planning, my companion told me that they were challenged with her because she doesnt want to be baptized for 'no reason'. She was being taught a long time ago, has a strong testimony about the fullness of the everlasting gospel that even her parents who already passed away are members. We couldnt figured out why but we're sure that she is ready enough to received the blessings of making covenants with God. One teaching appointment, we planned to invite her again for baptism, but we went home being devastated and frustrated. We were hopeless not until a week later, with an unexpected teaching with spiritfilled one, I got the chance to bear my simple and clear testimony about this message until I found myself in tears of joy when she suddenly said, "magpapabinyag na ako elder". From that time, my sight just brigthens as if I was into heaven seeing angels singing in glory to God. An answered prayered not just for us, but for her friends and families. Really a memorable spiritual experience for me that brought our dreams into reality for her.

Welcome to the fold, Nanay Liwayway!

"Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God"
D&C 18:10

I testify that a true disciple of Jesus Christ also sees the worth of souls to his fellowmen. So now, I invite you to bring good tidings to everyone especially to whom you dearly love!
