β¨ SUNDAY WORSHIP & HEALING SERVICE β¨
23 August 2026
Another blessed Sunday in the presence of the Lord! π
As we continue our series, BREAKTHROUGH DISCIPLINE THAT EMPOWERS, we were reminded that true spiritual discipline is also learning how to break free from sin and temptation.
Through the message shared by Sis. Rose, we were encouraged to recognize that temptation is part of our spiritual journey, but we do not have to remain bound by it.
π Hebrews 12:1β3 gives us a powerful picture: we are called to lay aside everything that hinders us, fix our eyes on Jesus, and endure the race set before us.
So, how do we break free from sin and temptation?
π€ First, follow the way to surrender.
There are things we cannot overcome simply by our own strength. Discipline begins when we surrender our ways to God and allow Him to lead us.
π Second, focus our eyes on Jesus Christ.
When our attention is fixed on Jesus, we are reminded of who He is and who we are called to become. He becomes greater than the temptation before us.
πͺ Third, find strength in Christ.
We may feel weak, discouraged, or overwhelmed at times, but our strength does not have to come from ourselves. Christ is our strength.
And this is where discipline becomes powerful.
Discipline teaches us to surrender when we want to control, to look to Jesus when distractions come, and to seek His strength when our own strength is not enough.
Breaking free is not always an instant process. Sometimes, it is a daily decisionβa daily surrender, a daily choice to resist, and a daily commitment to keep our eyes on Jesus.
May we continue to allow God to train us, strengthen us, and empower us to walk in freedom. Because the goal of discipline is not simply to make us strongerβit is to make us more like Christ. ππ₯
To God be all the glory! π€
