💚✨ ONE MISSION, ONE WALK ✨💚
Sa atong gamayng tabang, adunay bata nga mas maduol sa iyang pangandoy.
Sa matag pag-apil nato, adunay pamilya nga makabati nga wala sila pasagdi. 💛
— Mateo 25:40

Pilia ang dalan sa Kinabuhi, and reject the path that leads to destruction. 🙏
‘Do not let your hearts be troubled… I am the way, the truth, and the life.’
Sa ebanghelyo karon, gipahinumduman ta ni Jesus nga Siya ang dalan padulong sa Amahan—ug ang tinuod nga pagsunod makita sa atong pag-alagad ug serbisyo sa uban.
Let us walk this path together, growing in faith and love. Be part of a community that leads you closer to Christ—join us in Couples for Christ.

WHY THE CHURCH USES YEARS A, B, C
(UNDERSTANDING THE LITURGICAL CYCLE)

Many Catholics attend Mass every Sunday…
They hear different readings…
Different Gospels…

But few ask:
Why does the Church arrange readings this way?
What are Years A, B, and C?

1. WHAT ARE YEARS A, B, C? (TRADITION)
The Church follows a three-year cycle of Sunday readings, designed to present the life and teachings of Christ in an ordered way.

* Year A → Focuses mainly on the Gospel of Matthew
* Year B → Focuses mainly on the Gospel of Mark
* Year C → Focuses mainly on the Gospel of Luke
(Source: Tradition – Lectionary of the Church)

2. WHAT ABOUT THE GOSPEL OF JOHN? (SCRIPTURE)
The Gospel of John is not assigned to one single year.

Instead, it is used during:
* Major seasons (Lent & Easter)
* Important feasts and solemnities
This gives deeper theological reflection on Christ.

3. WHY DOES THE CHURCH USE A CYCLE?
The goal is simple:
* To expose the faithful to a wide portion of Scripture
* To avoid repetition of only a few passages
* To guide believers through the life of Christ step by step

4. DOES THIS HELP CATHOLICS READ THE BIBLE?
Yes, powerfully.

Through regular Mass attendance:
* Catholics hear Old Testament
* Psalms
* New Testament letters
* Gospels
Over time, this cycle presents a large portion of the Bible in an organized way.

5. WHO ESTABLISHED THIS SYSTEM?
The modern three-year cycle was expanded after the Second Vatican Council to deepen the faithful’s engagement with Scripture.
It is guided by the General Instruction of the Roman Missal and the Lectionary.

6. WHY NOT JUST READ RANDOM PASSAGES?
Because the Church is not random.

She teaches with order and purpose:
* Each Sunday builds on a theme
* Each season reflects a mystery (Advent, Lent, Easter)
* Each year deepens understanding of Christ

IN SUMMARY… THE CHURCH TEACHES WITH STRUCTURE
Year A → Matthew
Year B → Mark
Year C → Luke
John → Key seasons
This is not just reading…
It is formation.

Today, reflect:
“Am I just hearing the readings… or following the journey?”
…and let the Word of God grow in you

With deep sorrow, we mourn the passing of Rev. Fr. Robert Tik-ing, a faithful servant of God who dedicated his life to guiding and serving His people.
His unwavering faith, humility, and love for the Church have touched countless lives and will forever remain in our hearts.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” – Matthew 25:21

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. 🙏

Good day, Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We warmly invite all members of the CFC Buug Chapter to attend our upcoming Chapter Assembly on April 26 at 1:00 PM, to be held at the OMPH Formation Hall.

This gathering is a meaningful opportunity for us to come together as one community in Christ—to deepen our faith, strengthen our unity, and be renewed through worship and fellowship. Your presence is highly encouraged as we continue to grow together as one family in the Lord.
We look forward to seeing everyone there.

“In the One, We are One.” 🙏

✝️ WHEN ARE YOU LATE FOR MASS? THE ANSWER MANY DON’T WANT TO HEAR 😳
___________________
“I came just after it started…”
“I arrived before the readings…”
“At least I was there before Communion…”

These are common explanations.

But here is the uncomfortable question:

👉 When does Mass really begin… and when are you actually late?

Because this is not just about time.

👉 It is about encounter, reverence, and readiness.

✝️ 1. MASS DOES NOT BEGIN WHEN YOU ARRIVE… IT BEGINS WHEN THE CHURCH BEGINS

The Church already tells you the time.

It is announced.
It is written.
It is known.

So Mass does not begin:

👉 when you walk in
👉 when you feel ready

It begins:

👉 at the appointed time.

And you…

👉 are expected to be there before it begins.

✝️ 2. BEFORE THE FIRST WORD… THERE IS A SACRED PREPARATION

There is something many people ignore:

👉 the time before Mass starts.

That time is not empty.

It is where you:

recollect your mind

present your intentions

enter silence

prepare your soul

Even the priest prepares.

There are prayers said quietly.

There is a gathering of intention.

So if you arrive when everything has already started…

👉 you have already missed something real.

✝️ 3. YOU ARE NOT COMING TO AN EVENT… YOU ARE JOINING A SACRIFICE

The Mass is not a show.

It is not something you drop into halfway.

👉 It is a sacrifice.

And every Catholic is not just watching.

👉 You are offering with the priest.

So if you come late…

👉 you are not fully entering what is being offered.

✝️ 4. CHRIST IS ALREADY THERE… WAITING

Here is a truth many forget:

👉 Christ is already present before Mass begins.

He is not arriving when you arrive.

So when you delay…

👉 it is not just lateness.

👉 it is arriving after the encounter has already begun.

✝️ 5. THE TRUTH ABOUT “JUST A FEW MINUTES”

Many say:

👉 “It was only a few minutes.”

But those minutes may include:

the opening sign of the Cross

the penitential act

the collect

These are not introductions.

👉 They are part of the Mass.

So missing them is not nothing.

👉 It is missing part of the prayer of the Church.

✝️ 6. WHAT ABOUT THE OLD TEACHING ABOUT ANGELS?

Many were taught as children:

👉 that angels are present…
👉 that they “record” those present from the beginning

Whether understood literally or spiritually…

👉 the truth behind it is clear:

👉 Heaven takes worship seriously.

The idea teaches:

👉 Be present from the beginning.
👉 Do not treat sacred time casually.

✝️ 7. THE HARD TRUTH

There is no exact “minute” that defines lateness in a legalistic way.

But spiritually:

👉 if you are not there at the beginning…

👉 you are late.

Not because God rejects you.

👉 but because you have not fully entered the offering.

👉 If you would not arrive late to meet someone important…
👉 why arrive late to meet God?

✝️ SO WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

Arrive early.

Sit in silence.

Prepare your heart.

Say your own prayer before Mass begins.

Because those quiet moments…

👉 are where your offering begins.

✝️ NEXT SUNDAY… TRY THIS

Be in your seat before the first word is spoken.

Look at the altar.

And say:

👉 “Lord, I am here.”

Because Mass is not something you join halfway.

👉 It is something you enter from the beginning.
