We give great thanks to the Almighty God for the very successful Orientation on Healing and Spiritual Liberation. We are truly joyful that many members of San Roque Chapel, Limaha, actively attended and listened attentively to every topic discussed.

We are also grateful to the chapel officials for supporting and hosting this activity, especially to our parish priest Rev. Fr. Nercip PI Campos Obus for allowing this event to take place.

We likewise extend our heartfelt gratitude to our spiritual director in the Deliverance and Exorcism Ministry, Rev. Fr. Michael R. Casinillo, for guiding us and for presiding over the Mass for Healing and Deliverance for those who participated in the orientation. The participants were deeply blessed and joyful, especially with Father’s very engaging and witty homily.

Special thanks as well to Ate Rhean Nicole Desamparado and Ate Nina Divine, our very charming youth aspirants.

We hope that more chapels will be encouraged to host this kind of orientation so that more people may learn about the teachings of the Church on healing and deliverance.

All honor and glory we offer to the one and only God.

By God’s grace, a child has been welcomed into the Catholic Church through the Sacrament of Baptism.

In His goodness, He allowed this ministry to accompany and guide her in her journey of conversion—through catechesis, prayer, and quiet perseverance—leading to a new life in Christ.

We entrust her path to the loving intercession of Mama Mary, the angels, and all the saints, who continually lead souls closer to Jesus.

All for the glory of God. 🙏✨

Welcome to the Christian World, ate Ashley Joy 🤍

The Deliverance and Exorcism Office of the Diocese of Butuan (DEO-BUTUAN) stands in prayerful solidarity with the family of Lay Minister Ret. Police Major Dennis F. Maning during this time of grief. In a funeral vigil filled with faith and compassion, the team offered prayers for his eternal repose and shared catechesis on healing and deliverance, reminding all present of God’s mercy, hope, and the promise of new life beyond death.”

In living out the call to love beyond words this Holy Week, the OMPH Healing and Deliverance Ministry was reminded that mercy must be both seen and felt. Through the corporal works of mercy, we extended our hands in service by cleaning the resting place of our departed priests at Saint Peter Clergy Cemetery. And through the spiritual works of mercy, we lifted our hearts in prayer, offering intercession for their eternal repose.
For mercy is not complete unless it is both acted upon and prayed through service to the body and care for the soul. May this simple act remind us that love continues even beyond the grave, and that in honoring them, we also grow in holiness.

“Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.”

“May they rest in peace. Amen.”

To God be the Glory

Thank you

✝️WHY GOD ALLOWS GOOD PEOPLE TO SUFFER, A CATHOLIC ANSWER YOU’RE NOT EXPECTING

_________________________
Everyone asks it.
Few understand it.
Even fewer are ready for the real answer.

Why do the faithful suffer?
Why do the innocent cry?
Why do people who pray, serve, and love still walk through fire?

Scripture gives an answer far more mysterious, and far more beautiful, than we imagine.

Let’s uncover it.

✝️ 1. Suffering Is Not Proof of God’s Absence, It Is the Mark of His Presence

In the Bible, those closest to God suffer the most:

Abraham loses everything.

Moses is rejected.

David is hunted.

Jeremiah is thrown into a pit.

Mary receives a sword in her soul.

Jesus carries a Cross.

If suffering meant God abandoned you,
then Jesus was abandoned the most,
and that is impossible.

Suffering is not the absence of God.
Many times, it is the signature of God.

✝️ 2. Good People Suffer Because They Carry What Others Cannot

Some souls are chosen to carry crosses heavier than others.

Not as punishment.
But as participation.

St. Paul shocks us with these words:

“I fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ.”
(Colossians 1:24)

What could possibly be “lacking” in Christ’s sufferings?

Not value.
Not power.
Not redemption.

What is lacking is your participation.

God allows certain good people to carry crosses
so that grace can flow to others through them.

Some suffer for families.
Some suffer for nations.
Some suffer for souls who refuse God.

Suffering becomes intercession.

✝️ 3. God Uses Suffering as a Scalpel, Not a Hammer

Suffering in Scripture is not destruction.
It is purification.

God never wounds to injure,
He wounds to heal.

Think of gold in fire.
The heat does not destroy it;
it reveals its purity.

In the same way:

Trials burn away pride

Loss burns away attachment

Delays burn away impatience

Betrayal burns away illusions

Illness burns away self-sufficiency

Suffering is not God’s hammer.
It is God’s surgical tool.

The saints are not made on mountains but in furnaces.

✝️ 4. Suffering Opens Gates That Comfort Locks Shut

There are places in the human heart
that comfort will never touch.

But suffering enters.

You learn compassion only when you have hurt.
You learn mercy only when you have needed it.
You learn silence only when words fail.
You learn prayer only when nothing else works.

There are things God can give you only in darkness,
because in darkness, the soul finally stops running.

✝️ 5. Suffering Is the Only Road God Trusts to Produce Saints

The Church has no saint without wounds.

Not one.

Suffering is not a detour on the journey of holiness.
It is the journey.

Jesus did not say:

“If anyone wants to follow Me, let him take His blessings and come.”

He said:

“Let him take up his cross.” (Matt 16:24)

Not because God delights in your pain.
But because holiness without sacrifice does not exist.

✝️ 6. The Holiest Souls Suffer Because They Can Survive the Weight of Glory

Some people carry heavier crosses
because they have stronger souls.

God gives deeper wounds
to those He will fill with deeper grace.

He prunes the branches
that are meant to bear the sweetest fruit.

When you see a good person suffering,
you are witnessing a soul God is preparing
for something greater than comfort.

You are witnessing the crafting of a saint.

✝️ 7. The Final Mystery: God Himself Chose Suffering

Christianity is the only religion
where God does not watch men suffer,
He suffers with them.

He takes the nails.
He takes the spear.
He takes the abandonment.
He takes the grave.

This is the ultimate answer:

You do not suffer instead of Christ.
You suffer with Christ.

Every tear becomes prayer.
Every wound becomes grace.
Every cross becomes communion.

✝️ SO, WHY DO GOOD PEOPLE SUFFER?

Not because God is absent.
But because God is dangerously close.

Not because God is punishing them.
But because God is shaping them.

Not because they are forgotten.
But because they have been chosen.

And the Cross placed on their shoulders
is the same Cross that opened Heaven.

Today, we paused our regular monthly meeting to dedicate time to those among us suffering spiritual harassment. During the diagnostic interviews, we discovered that some of them have family members involved in occult practices and are in possession of Benedictine medals and other sacramentals consecrated to evil, which may have contributed to the harassment. We prayed with them, offered guidance, and assisted in breaking the seals and concecration of the benedictine medals and other sacramentals that had been misused or consecrated to evil.

As the Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us:

“Sacramentals are sacred signs which bear a resemblance to the sacraments. They signify effects, particularly of a spiritual nature, which are obtained through the intercession of the Church. Although they are meant for holy purposes, they can be misused; yet even what has been misused can be restored to God’s service through proper prayer and blessing.”

— CCC 2113–2116

The Scripture also warns us of spiritual deception:

“And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness.”

— 2 Corinthians 11:14–15

Let this be a reminder, that sacramentals should always be blessed by the Church, not by occult practitioners, even if they claim to serve the Lord because only through the Church’s intercession do these sacred objects become true channels of God’s grace.

May our prayers, discernment, and the power of Jesus Christ, along with the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the saints, reclaim what is holy, protect the faithful, and bear witness to God’s sovereignty over all spiritual forces. 🕊️

To God be all the glory and honor.

PERSONAL SPIRITUAL WARFARE:
(For the Deliverance of Yourself or Place from Evil Spirits)
* Consult with your parish priest first

Reminders:
1) Use the following prayers when you believe an evil spirit is...
- harassing you,
- tempting you gravely,
- making you feel fear by letting itself be felt,
- giving you pain or sickness,
- causing bad thoughts in your mind,
- attacking you in your sleep, etc.

2) They can also be used for places when you sense their presence.

3) Be prepared. As much as possible..
- be in the state of grace, like always going to confession,
- have holy water,
- wear a scapular,
- wear a St. Benedict's medal
These items must be used with faith ("God and Mother Mary are watching over me; I am theirs") and not with superstition.

4) Pray all prayers with the heart.

5) Do not be afraid; know who you belong to. The evil spirits are afraid of Catholics who know their identity as children of God.

6) Before praying the prayers, place yourself in God's presence and sense his nearness.

STEP 1: PRAYER FOR PROTECTION
Jesus Crucified, cover me, my family, my relatives, and friends, and all our possessions with your Precious Blood. (Recite three times.)

STEP 2: PRAYER FOR ARMOR
I put on God's armor to resist the devil's tactics. I stand my ground with truth buckled around my waist and integrity for a breastplate. I carry the shield of faith to put out the burning arrows of the evil one. I accept salvation of God to be my helmet and receive the Word of God from the Spirit to use as a sword.

STEP 3: PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE:
(Pray this prayer with a commanding voice. If you have holy water, sprinkle while praying this prayer).

In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, through His tremendous power as God and through His most powerful and salvific name. I rebuke, repudiate, bind, and cast out all spirits not of the Holy Spirit. I command you in the name of Jesus, to depart now from (state name of person or place) and go immediately and directly to the foot of the Cross and never to return.)

(Then pray this prayer to the Holy Spirit, asking for assistance and His infilling)
O Most Holy Spirit, enter into the empty spaces left by these spirits and fill (state name of person or place) with your presence, love, and protection. Please do not allow these spirits to return.

STEP 4: PRAYER TO THE ANGELS
(Make a personal prayer to the angels to stand guard and remain around the person or place just delivered to seal them from future demonic influences.)

STEP 5: PRAYER FOR CLEANSING
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we pray that the cleansing power of the Precious Blood of your Son come upon us right now. Purify us and wash us clean with the Blood of Jesus from the top of our head down to the very soles of our feet. Let this Blood pe*****te the very marrow of our bones to cleanse us from the entanglement from whatever spirit we have come in contact with during the course of our intercession. Anoint us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and refresh our body, soul, and spirit.
And may the sign of your Holy Cross drive away all evil spirits from us. (Make the sign of the Cross) In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

STEP 6: PRAYER OF PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING
(Make a personal prayer of praise and thanksgiving to God.)

Supplements:
1) If right afterwards there seems to be some form of retaliation from the evil spirits like sickness, pains, and depression, use the Prayer of Deliverance, but instead of saying "all spirits not of the Holy Spirit," say "spirit of retaliation and all accompanying spirits," then finish with the cleansing prayer.

2) Before going to bed, make the sign of the cross on your forehead using holy water.

3) Use Holy Water frequently in your room and, if possible, sprinkle exorcised salt (rock salt blessed by a priest) around the corners and entrances of your room.

4) Have a devotion to Mother Mary,
- speak to Her from the heart,
- pray the Rosary,
- learn more about Her and
- practice Her virtues,
- make novenas to Her.
She is the mortal enemy of the demons and the devil, and they fear her.

5) Speak frequently to your guardian angel and always ask him to guard and guide you. He will speak usually through your thoughts and your heart.
