Last October 31, the faithful of Our Lady of Fatima Parish joyfully gathered for the Parade of Saints and the Culmination of the Holy Rosary Month.

The day was filled with vibrant colors, heartfelt prayers, and inspiring portrayals of the saints โ€” reminding everyone that holiness is a call for all, especially in the simple acts of love and faith. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ˜‡

As we ended the month of the Holy Rosary, may the intercession of our Blessed Mother and the examples of the saints continue to guide us closer to Christ.

Our Lady of Fatima Parish - Youth Ministry held its yearly tradition to portray Saints in the Halloween Celebration. This event aims to cultivate a deep awareness among the youth that we are all blessed by God with the potential to attain heaven. Through this event, they gain a profound understanding of their purpose: to embrace love and service.

Presented here are the exceptionally skilled and committed youth who portrayed different saints by wearing various saints costumes, paying tribute and showing reverence to them as they marched together, emphasizing that despite that we are all sinners, we are ALL called to holiness.

As we prepare for UNDAS 2025 and honor our departed loved ones through visit at cemeteries, let us continue to offer our prayers for them (cf. 2 Maccabees 12:46).

As the Catechism (no. 1032) emphasizes: โ€œFrom the beginning the Church has honored the memory of the dead and offered prayers in suffrage for them, above all the Eucharistic sacrifice, so that, thus purified, they may attain the beatific vision of God. The Church also commends almsgiving, indulgences, and works of penance undertaken on behalf of the dead.โ€

Praying the dead is one of the spiritual works of mercy. It is an act of hope rooted in our faith in the Resurrection of the Lord.

At the 6:00 AM Mass on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, New Paradise Village, Brgy. Libertad, Butuan City, Rev. Fr. Rex T. Cassion presided and shared a heartfelt homily reflecting on the recent earthquake that struck the area.

He reminded the faithful that โ€œSa kalisang sa panahon sa kalamidad, ang atong ginasangpit ang atong Dios, ug ang pagpanalipod sa atong Mahal nga Inahan.โ€

Before the final blessing, a touching offering of flowers accompanied by a song for Mary filled the church with devotion and gratitude. The celebration continued after the Mass with a Halad Sayaw para kay Maria, a joyful expression of faith and love for Our Lady.
