LOOK | Today is the start of the Congress proper of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress in Budapest, Hungary. Due to the pandemic, attendance to the 52nd IEC is limited.
Nevertheless, in solidarity with the 52nd IEC, everyone is invited to attend the Philippines' Virtual Conference on the Eucharist come September 11, 2021.
In this conference, Most Rev. Dennis Villarojo, Bishop Of Malolos, will talk on the theme of the 52nd IEC. He was the secretary-general of the 51st IEC held in Cebu in 2016.
Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma will deliver the Opening remarks through a recorded video. The Archbishop is currently in Hungary to attend the 52nd IEC.
Archbishop Charles John Brown, Apostolic Nuncio to Philippines will deliver his message. Prior to his appointment here in the Philippines in 2020, he was Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland and Titular Archbishop of Aquiliea in 2011.
Cardinal Jose Advincula, Metropolitan Archbishop of Manila will give his Closing remarks. He became a cardinal in 2020 and was appointed as Archbishop of Manila on June 24 this year.
