Today, the Church celebrates Pentecost Sunday, the fulfillment of Christ’s promise to send the Holy Spirit upon His disciples. Through the coming of the Holy Spirit, the apostles were strengthened in faith and sent forth to proclaim the Gospel to all nations.

𝐒𝐀𝐍 𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐑𝐎 𝐋𝐀𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐋 𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀 | 𝐁𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐌 𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐒

A blessed and joyful celebration of faith took place at the newly renovated San Isidro Labrador Chapel in Mahayag, Butuan City, as three children received the Sacrament of Baptism during the chapel’s annual fiesta celebration.

The Holy Eucharistic Celebration and Baptism Rites were presided over by Rev. Fr. Jone Kevin O. Bermudez, together with the faithful who gathered in prayer and thanksgiving for this meaningful occasion in the life of the community.

Though the chapel is located in a remote area, the faith and devotion of the community continue to shine brightly. The newly renovated chapel now stands as a symbol of the people’s unity, dedication, and enduring love for God. Visited only once every year during the fiesta celebration, the community joyfully awaits this special gathering to celebrate the sacraments and renew their faith together.

Indeed, no distance can hinder hearts devoted to God and united in faith.

CBCP issues “A Nation’s Prayer for Enlightenment, Conversion and Renewal,” with approved translations in Tagalog, Bicolano, Binisaya, Ilocano, Hiligaynon and Cebuano, following approval during the CBCP Permanent Council meeting on May 20, 2026.

The CBCP Permanent Council said the prayer will be recited beginning Pentecost Sunday and continuing at least through July, according to the CBCP General Secretariat.

With grateful hearts, the Sto. Niño Diocesan Shrine & Parish joyfully celebrates its 40th Parish Anniversary — four decades of God’s faithfulness, unwavering devotion, and a vibrant community united in Christ.

Through the years, the parish has become a home of prayer, hope, and service where countless faithful have encountered God’s love through the Holy Eucharist, sacraments, and the intercession of Señor Sto. Niño.

As we celebrate this blessed milestone, may we continue to grow together as one community of faith, guided by the grace of God and inspired to serve with love, humility, and devotion.

A blessed moment of faith and devotion as the miraculous image of Birhen sa Regla from the Nuestra Señora de Regla Parish National Shrine visited the Sto. Niño Diocesan Shrine & Parish.

Through moments of prayer, veneration, and Eucharistic celebrations, pilgrims and devotees gathered together as one community, honoring the loving presence of the Blessed Mother and renewing their faith in Christ.

May this sacred patronal visit continue to inspire hearts with hope, peace, and unwavering devotion as Mary walks with her people in every season of life.
