3rd Day of the Triduum in Honor of St. Tarcisius

Tonight, we completed the three-day novena in honor of St. Tarcisius. As altar servers, we gathered not only to pray, but also to reflect on what it truly means to serve Jesus with a faithful and humble heart.

After the novena, we continued our night with a Taizé Prayer, creating a quiet and peaceful moment where we could simply be with the Lord. Through silence, prayer, and song, we were reminded that before we become servants at the altar, we are first called to become servants who listen, trust, and stay close to Jesus.

As we prepare for the Feast of St. Tarcisius, may his courage and love for the Eucharist continue to inspire us in our service.

St. Tarcisius, pray for us and guide all altar servers to serve with love and joy.

SERVING WITH FAITH, RENEWED IN LOVE.

Today, we joyfully celebrate the Feast of St. Tarcisius, the patron saint of altar servers, as we also mark the Culmination of the Month of Altar Servers, the Renewal of Altar Server Vows, and the Oath-Taking of our Newly Elected Officers.

Today is more than just a celebration. It is a reminder of why we serve—to be closer to Christ, to serve His Church with humble hearts, and to continue saying “yes” to God in whatever role He gives us.

As we renew our vows, may we renew not only our promises but also our commitment to serve with faith, discipline, humility, and love. And as our newly elected officers take their oath, may they lead not for recognition, but with a heart willing to serve and inspire others.

May St. Tarcisius continue to guide every altar server, protect us in our service, and teach us to remain faithful even in the smallest acts of love.

2nd Day of the Triduum in Honor of St. Tarcisius

As we continue our Triduum, we are reminded of the simple but powerful example of St. Tarcisius his courage, faith, and deep love for Jesus in the Eucharist.

May his example remind us that serving is not only about what we do at the altar, but also about how we live our faith every day. May we continue to serve with love, remain faithful in every challenge, and always put Jesus at the center of our service.

Let us continue praying together as we prepare for the Feast of St. Tarcisius.

1st Day of the Triduum in Honor of St. Tarcisius

Today, we begin our Triduum as we prepare to celebrate the Feast of St. Tarcisius, patron saint of altar servers. May his courage, love for the Eucharist, and faithful service inspire us to serve with a humble and willing heart.

As we pray together, may we grow closer to Jesus and remember that every small act of service can become a beautiful offering to God.

St. Tarcisius, pray for us!

Participation in the 1st Session of the First Diocesan Synod of Butuan

The Immaculate Conception Parish community takes pride in the participation of some of its parishioners in the 1st Session of the First Diocesan Synod of Butuan, held on August 23–25, 2026, at Saint Peter College Seminary, as part of the preparation for the 60th Anniversary of the Diocese of Butuan.

Among those who participated were Rev. Fr. Alwin M. Malto, MSC, Parish Priest, Episcopal Vicar for Religious Women, and District Superior of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart; Mrs. Flor Ancis, Member of the Synodal Transformation Team and Diocesan Formation Team; Mr. James Paul Ong, Member of the Diocesan Synodal Committee, Diocesan Social Communications Ministry and President of the Diocesan Ministry of Altar Servers; and Mrs. Albina Polan, Member of the Diocesan Synodal Committee and Staff of the Diocesan Pastoral Office.

Their participation in this significant diocesan gathering is a reflection of their willingness to listen, share, discern, and walk together with the people of the Diocese. The Synod provides an important space for prayerful reflection and meaningful dialogue as the local Church looks toward its future and prepares to celebrate 60 years of faith, service, and mission.

May this synodal journey continue to strengthen communion among the faithful and inspire everyone to take part in building a more united and mission-oriented Church.

The official logo of the First Diocesan Synod of Butuan reflects the spirit and journey of the Diocese as it gathers in communion, listens to one another, and discerns together under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Inspired by the words of Ezekiel 36:26, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you,” the logo expresses the prayer and hope of the First Diocesan Synod of Butuan: a Church renewed in heart, spirit, communion, and mission.

𝐁𝐚𝐠-𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐠 𝐄𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮 is the official song of the First Diocesan Synod of Butuan, expressing the call to journey together as a synodal Church, guided by the Holy Spirit.

The lyrics were written by Rev. Fr. James Michael M. Abellanosa, with music composed by Rev. Fr. Guy Arnold L. Pineda.

The song serves as one of the musical expressions of the Synod as the Diocese of Butuan continues its journey of listening, discernment, and communion.

FEAST OF ST. TARCISIUS

Today, we celebrate St. Tarcisius, Patron Saint of Altar Servers, whose life teaches us to serve Jesus with courage, faith, and love.

May his example inspire us to be faithful in every service, humble in every task, and joyful in serving at the altar. May we always remember that every time we serve, we are serving Christ and His Church.

May St. Tarcisius guide and protect all altar servers in the Diocese of Butuan as we continue to serve with one heart and one faith.

St. Tarcisius, pray for us!
