Guardian angels are real and there are a lot of testimonies on that.

Ask their help on small and big things, whisper a prayer to them, even for small things like helping you to focus studying for an exam, difficulties in work, relationships, etc.
They will surely help. 🙏🏻

1. Every priest regularly hears this sin confessed. He will not be shocked at all.

2. If you intentionally viewed po*******hy in any form, you must confess that you viewed po*******hy and how many times. If po*******hy was accompanied by ma********on, you must confess that, too, along with the number of times (to the best of your memory).

3.. "I keep confessing this over and over again." The Church requires for confession a sincere contrition for sins committed, a desire to sin no more, and a firm purpose of amendment of one’s life. Po*******hy is a sin that people confess repeatedly, and that can be discouraging. However, it is important not to despair and to keep going to confession. On a Catholic Answers Live call, a man who struggled with po*******hy and mentioned it in all of his confessions at the time spoke with Matt Fradd, who said,

"In order to have the contrition needed for absolution, we do not need to twist our mind in such a way that we are convinced we will never fall again. We can confess that we have fallen to something, and so long as our will desires never to fall to it again, even though we may recognize that we likely will fall to it again, it is still a valid confession, and you are forgiven."

4. One temptation for those who fall once is thinking, “I fell and I cannot get to confession for several days. I might as well do it again before I go to confession.” One problem with this, among others, is that it can easily turn into presumption of God’s mercy. If this temptation is given into, it should also be mentioned in confession.

5. Although confession grants forgiveness of sins, confession alone is often not enough for someone with a habit to overcome po*******hy use. To make progress, it needs to be discussed with loved ones and possibly a therapist. The seal of confession is a gift, but if the person who has developed a habit of viewing po*******hy talks about it only in confession, the habit can remain a secret; and the sin of po*******hy thrives in shame and secrecy.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Today, in our reading from Matthew, the Trinity is revealed. At the Baptism of Our Lord, the Father speaks of His love for His Son, The Son gives us the Sacrament of Baptism, and the Holy Spirit descends like a dove letting us know that this action is sanctified. It is holy and pleasing to God.

This is why we baptize in the Trinitarian formula and every single time we do the Sign of the Cross it is a beautiful reminder of our baptism and the saving grace we received from it. We must continue to cooperate with those graces throughout our life, but it/was our entrance into the family of God.

So many things happen at baptism:

You become a child of God and an heir to the Kingdom.
Original sin is washed away and any actual sins if above the age of reason.
Your soul is permanently marked as belonging to God.
Your soul is filled with grace--the Divine life.
You receive the three theological gifts of Faith, Hope, and Charity.
You receive the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus didn't need to be baptized, but He was showing us what He wanted us to do--this was the new covenantal ritual, circumcision would not be needed anymore.

Baptism is the start of our Christian life with God, Catholic Pilgrims. Through it, we are brought into the life of the Blessed Trinity.

Have a beautiful Sunday.

❤️‍🔥 June is the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus ❤️‍🔥

“Behold this Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to consuming itself to witness its love. And in return, I receive from most of them only ingratitude from their irreverences and their sacrileges and by the coldness and contempt that they have for Me in this sacrament of love…” - Jesus Christ to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

Did you know?

In 1673, Sister Margaret Mary received a vision of a heart with a crown of thorns, surrounded by flames and above which a cross was planted. It was the heart of Jesus!

Our Lord wanted to make His love known to all mankind and had chosen Sister Margaret to spread the devotion to his Sacred Heart.

This vision that Sister Margaret saw would become the popular image of the Sacred Heart which she used to propagate the devotion.

This month of the Sacred Heart, do not ignore Jesus. Instead, offer Him the warmth of your love and be loved by Him!
