ly Spirit. We preach the message of Christ and Him crucified for our sins. God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not die in their sins and face God's righteous judgement and wrath, but will have forgiveness of sin and eternal life. Through faith in Christ's finished redemptive work on the cross and His resurrection from the dead, we are declared righteous- having forgiveness of our sins and the gift of eternal life. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is the only way to the Father. There is no other name by which we may be saved (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). True (saving) faith is evident in a persons life when he or she has a godly sorrow over their sins, bringing repentance (a change of mind, causing a turning away from sin and a turning towards God) that leads to salvation. A person who claims Christ as their Savior and Lord should have evidence of His grace in their life (including a new love for God that desires to obey Him, a love for His word, and a love for others) because a believer belongs to Christ, and the Holy Spirit lives in the believer. We love because He first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And He has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. 1 John 4:19-21
