2 Corinthians 9:6-11
The Grace of Giving

𝖨𝗇𝗍𝗋𝗈𝖽𝗎𝖼𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇

2 Corinthians 8:7
But since you excel in everything —in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you —see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

𝙶𝚒𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚐
- is not something we do, but something we are.
- is a way of life for Christian who understand the Grace of God.

1. 𝚂𝚘𝚠𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚙𝚒𝚗𝚐 (2 𝙲𝚘𝚛. 9:6)

we reap in measure we sow

1.1 more we invest in the work of the Lord
more FRUIT will abound to our account.

When we are tempted to forget the principle of sowing and reaping, we need to remind ourselves God is unsparing in His Giving.

2. 𝙱𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝙸𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚕 (2 𝙲𝚘𝚛. 9:7)

2.1 we reap as we sow with right motives
2.1.1 giving must be well planned
2.1.2 not reluctant or under compulsion

2.2 why should we give from the heart?
2.2.1 a giving attitude is more important than
the given amount.
2.2.2 God is concerned about how a person
gives from his/her resources.

2.3 The old testament practice of giving.
2.3.1 Jacob followed his grandfather's
example of tithing.(Genesis 28:20-22)

2.4The new testament practice of giving.
2.4.1 grace of giving, Paul encouraged
proportionate giving (1 Corinthians
16:1-2)

Tithing is a good plan to begin, but as the Lord blesses us, we must increase that percentage, if we are to practice a kind of Grace Giving.

3. 𝙸𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚍𝚒𝚊𝚝𝚎 (2 𝙲𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚊𝚗𝚜 9:8-11)

a. God can make ALL GRACE abound, all
things at all times.

𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚍𝚘𝚎𝚜 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝙶𝚘𝚍 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢 𝙲𝚑𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚊𝚗 𝚠𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚝𝚑𝚢 𝚒𝚗 𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚊𝚕 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜.

𝖦𝗈𝖽'𝗌 𝗀𝗋𝖺𝖼𝖾 𝗂𝗌 𝗇𝗈𝗍 𝗅𝗂𝗆𝗂𝗍𝖾𝖽 𝗍𝗈 𝗆𝖺𝗍𝖾𝗋𝗂𝖺𝗅 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗇𝗀𝗌
- ɢᴏᴏᴅ ʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜ
- ᴡɪꜱᴅᴏᴍ
- ꜱᴋɪʟʟꜱ
- ᴛᴀʟᴇɴᴛꜱ, ᴇᴄᴛ.

What it really means is that Christian who practices grace giving will always have what he needs when he needs it.

b. The Grace of God enriches a believer morally and spiritually so that they grow in Christian character.

In his walk and in his work, he depends wholly in the sufficiency of God.
- Adequate resources within (Philippians 4:11)

c. As Christians…..
c.1 need to help and encourage one
another.
c.2 we must not depend on one another.

Our dependence must be on the Lord Himself (John 4:14)

d. We not only share God's grace, but we also
share his righteousness (2 Corinthians 9:9)

e. Grace giving builds Christians character
e.1 the giving of money is just as spiritual an
act as the singing of a hymn and handling
out a Gospel track.

e.2 Grace giving - Thanksgiving to God.

𝙲𝚘𝚗𝚌𝚕𝚞𝚜𝚒𝚘𝚗:
In grace-giving our motive is not “to get something, but receiving God's blessing is one of the fringe benefits.

1 Corinthians 1:21-31NKJV

21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a [a]stumbling block and to the [b]Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Glory Only in the Lord
26 For [c]you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many [d]noble, are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the [e]base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”
