Prayer for Godās Shelter in the Midst of Typhoon Opong
O God of refuge and strength.
Even now, as Typhoon Opong unleashes strong winds and relentless rains, we come before You in prayer. Many of our sisters and brothers are in fear, waters are rising, and homes are being battered. Lord, stretch out Your hand of protection over every community in harmās way.
Provide for those who are stranded and hungry, comfort the children and the elderly, and shield the most vulnerable from danger. Stir our local churches, O God, to open their doors as sanctuaries of safety and compassion in this very hour of need.
As we endure this storm, we cannot forget the sins of neglect and corruption that worsen peopleās suffering. May this crisis awaken consciences and remind those who squandered public resources that every peso wasted is a life put at risk.
Lord, stay with us in the howling winds and rushing waters. Be our anchor of hope until this storm passes. We cling to Your promise that You are our shelter and strong tower in times of trouble.
In the name of Christ, our Protector, we pray.
