It is so easy to decide to become a devotee of Mary — to care for her image, join processions, and take an active part in church activities.

But sometimes, we must ask ourselves the more important questions:

Who am I when no one is looking?
How do I treat others when there are no cameras, no applause, and no praise?
Do I do these things to truly follow Mary’s example of humility and love… or just to appear holy in the eyes of others?

Because devotion is not measured by how many processions we attend, how beautiful the images we carry are, or how visible we are inside the church. True devotion is revealed in one’s character — in humility, kindness, honesty, mercy, and how we treat people when no one is watching.

Anyone can wear their faith outwardly.
But not everyone allows their faith to transform their heart.

The Blessed Virgin Mary never directed people toward herself. She always led them to Christ.
And a true devotee does the same — not through outward displays, but through the quiet sincerity of a life that reflects goodness, even in private.

Holiness is not something to be put on display.
It is a way of living.
