Sister Lúcia of Fátima was one of the three shepherd children who witnessed the Marian apparitions in Fátima, Portugal. Several prayers are associated with these apparitions, some taught by an Angel of Peace and others by Our Lady of Fátima herself. Sister Lúcia, in her writings and during her life, emphasized these prayers.

Here are some of the key Fátima Prayers:

1. The Angel's Prayer (Pardon Prayer):

- "My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I ask pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You."

2. The Angel's Prayer (Trinitarian Prayer):

- "Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly. I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference with which He Himself is offended. And, through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners."

3. The Rosary Decade Prayer (O My Jesus):

- This prayer is recited after each decade of the Rosary: "O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Your mercy."

4. Sacrifice Prayer:

- "O Jesus, it is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary."

5. Eucharist Prayer:

- "O Most Holy Trinity, I adore You! My God, my God, I love You in the Most Blessed Sacrament!"

These prayers emphasize adoration of God, reparation for sins, and conversion of sinners, often through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Sister Lúcia also strongly advocated for the practice of the First Saturdays of Reparation, which includes confession, Holy Communion, reciting the Rosary, and meditating on its mysteries with the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Mother Teresa had a deep devotion to the rosary, and the seven great blessings of the rosary as stated by St. Louis de Montfort in The Secret of the Rosary are widely recognized in the Catholic tradition, which would have also been meaningful to her. These are:

1. It gradually gives us a perfect knowledge of Jesus Christ.

2. It purifies our souls, washing away sin.

3. It gives us victory over all our enemies.

4. It makes it easy for us to practice virtue.

5. It sets us on fire with love of our blessed lord.

6. It enriches us with graces and merits.

7. It supplies us with what is needed to pay all our debts to God and to our fellow men, and finally, it obtains all kinds of graces for us from almighty God.

Mother Teresa also emphasized the importance of the rosary in bringing families together and as a source of comfort and strength in serving the poor and suffering.

Mother Teresa saw the face of Jesus in each sick and dying person she helped, urging others to do the same. She also said, "Seeking the face of God in everything, everyone, all the time, and his hand in every happening; this is what it means to be contemplative in the heart of the world. Seeing and adoring the presence of Jesus, especially in the lowly appearance of bread, and in the distressing disguise of the poor.

Mother Teresa had a deep devotion to the Memorare prayer and often used it in times of need, but she did not write a unique "Mother Teresa Memorare"—she prayed the traditional version and even created an "Emergency Novena" centered around it.

Mother Teresa's Connection to the Prayer

- She would recite it 9 consecutive times when seeking a special grace, and often added a 10th in thanksgiving for the favor she believed would be granted, calling this practice the "Emergency Novena" or "Flying Novena" .

- In 1955, she and her sisters prayed 25,000 times for the healing of a seriously ill sister .

- She taught others to pray during the crisis, emphasizing that it reflects profound trust in Mary's intercession .

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O virgin of virgins, my mother. To you do I come; before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O mother of the word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen!

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, 'Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?' And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, and said, 'Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18:1-4

- Children are precious: She viewed children as gifts from God, saying, "The child is the beauty of God present in the world, that greatest gift to a family".

🙏 It shows how deeply you understand the core of what God calls us to do - to love one another just as He has loved us (John 13:34).

God's love for us is perfect, unconditional, and knows no bounds. While we might not be able to love exactly the way He does, when we ask for this grace, He helps us open our hearts wider, be more patient, kind, and forgiving towards others. It's a journey of growing in love every single day, and your prayer is a wonderful step forward!

Mother Teresa had profound insights on the crucifix and the Sacred Heart:

On the Crucifix

She emphasized that "when you look at the crucifix, you understand how much Jesus loved you". For her, it represented Jesus' immense sacrifice, including physical pain and deep emotional longing for love and connection with humanity. The words "I thirst" beside crucifixes in Missionaries of Charity chapels reminded her of Jesus' desire to bring souls to him, especially the poor. She also redirected adoration from herself to Jesus on the cross, stating "it is not me, it is him. Give your thanks to him".

On the Sacred Heart

She described it as an "open heart" and a "school of Jesus" where one learns meekness, humility, prayer, faith, love, and service. She encouraged people to "leave everything in the sacred heart and begin again with joy" when troubled by the past. Additionally, she noted the connection between the Sacred Heart and the Most Holy Eucharist, saying "when you look at the sacred host, you understand how much Jesus loves you now".
