Respect is earned through consistent character, not forced through authority, status, or demands. You can demand that someone obey you, but you cannot demand that they genuinely respect you.

People learn who you are by watching how you speak to others, how you handle conflict, whether you keep your word, and how you treat people who cannot do anything for you.

Your character speaks louder than your position.

If you want to be respected:

Speak to people with kindness and honesty.
Keep your promises.
Treat others with dignity.
Admit when you're wrong.
Don't belittle people to make yourself feel important.
Be the same person when people are watching and when they're not.

You don't need to chase respect. Live with integrity, and let your character speak for you.
