Active Faith Series: Warning Against Ungodly Wealth

James 5:1–6 is a powerful warning against selfishness, greed, and living without regard for others. Naga-remind usab kini kanato nga ang earthly riches will eventually fade, but the way we treat people matters eternally. God hears the cries of those who are oppressed, neglected, and treated unfairly.

Kini nga maong passage naga-challenge kanato to examine our hearts: are we using what God has given us to bless others, or are we only focused on our own comfort and gain?

Igsoon, true wealth is not measured by money, status, or possessions, but by a life lived in righteousness, compassion, humility, and obedience to God.

And may we never value riches more than people, and may our lives reflect justice, generosity, and love.

Be blessed! See you on the next one ;)

Sunday Sermon Recap (May 10, 2026)
Active Faith Series: Do Not Be Proud

Why we fail? Because we fail to acknowledge God in everything that we do.

Oo, kinahanglan nga maningkamot kita, apan ayaw isipa nga tungod nimo. Hinuon, kanunay i-acknowledge ang Dios.

Sumala pa ni Job sa chapter 14 verse 5, "You have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer."

Busa, do not rely on yourself. Instead, rely on God's will. Always trust in Him. For dependence on God's will is an act of submission to His will.

Do not be proud! But be humble and God will lift us up.

Be blessed! See you on the next one ;)

Sunday Sermon Recap // Active Faith Series

For this week's new episode, "Do not slander", here are some truths that we should put to heart:

James 4:11-12

Be blessed! See you on the next one ;)

Sa verse 6, nag-ingon si James, "But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.'"

(verse 7 to 10)

1. Pagmasinugtanon
2. Sukli ang yawa
(modagan ang yawa palayo nato because of obedience)
3. Magpailalom kita sa authority sa Dios (which is His Word)
4. Moduol kita sa Dios kanunay (surrender)
5. Paghinulsol, ug hinloan kanunay ang kasingkasing (true repentance - a decision to turn away from sin)
6. Be humble

Be blessed! See you on the next one ;)

Last time naghisgot ta about sa "Desire and Selfish Desire" (v1&2).
Karon, we will talk about James 4:3-6.

"It's not about what we ask but WHY we ask".

God knows what we need and want in life. But the question here is the intension of the heart, because right heart is what really matters to Him.

When we ask something from God, for example a thing or just a want, let us always check the intension of our heart..."Why do I want this?", "Why do I think I need this?", "Do I really need this or is this just a hype?"...because, as Christians, we need to be dependent on God even in decisions like this.

Naghisgot usab ug "adulterers" sa verse 4. This refers to "spiritual adultery". Cristohanon "kuno" apan independent of God and mapagarbohon diay kini.

Sa verse 5 nag ingon, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealousy". So why is God jealous?

Simple.

He cares for us because if we love the world, He know it's not good for us as His children.

So before we ask God anything, let us check our hearts first, "why?"

Be blessed! See you on the next one ;)
