MAUNDY THURSDAY| 4•2•26

“Kini mao ang akong lawas nga gihatag alang kaninyo; buhata ninyo kini sa paghinumdom kanako.”

Maundy Thursday marks the beginning of the Sacred Triduum in the Roman Catholic Church. On this holy night, we remember the Last Supper of our Lord Jesus Christ, where He instituted the Holy Eucharist and the priesthood, giving His Body and Blood as spiritual nourishment for the faithful.

We also recall Christ’s humble act of washing the feet of His disciples, teaching us the true meaning of love, service, and humility. Maundy Thursday invites us to reflect on the greatest commandment: to love one another as He has loved us.

May this sacred celebration deepen our faith, renew our devotion to the Holy Eucharist, and inspire us to serve others with compassion and humility.

St. James High School of Buenavista, Agusan Inc. informs all students and parents that the Summer Classes are intended for learners who have not completed their Academic Requirements from the previous Academic Year.

This program aims to provide students with the opportunity to recover, improve, and successfully complete their academic requirements.

HAVE A BLESSED MONDAY OF HOLY WEEK!

Have a blessed Holy Monday as we continue our journey through Holy Week—a sacred time that gently calls us to reflect, to repent, and to renew our hearts in the presence of God.

Holy Monday invites us to move beyond the joyful cries of Palm Sunday and enter more deeply into the quiet and solemn path that leads to the Cross. It is a day to remember that our faith is not only expressed in celebration, but also in stillness, in surrender, and in trust. As we begin this day, may we open our hearts to the grace that God desires to pour into our lives.

Take this moment to pause and be still. In the silence, listen to God’s voice speaking gently within you—guiding, correcting, and comforting. Reflect on your journey: the struggles you carry, the prayers you hold, and the hopes you continue to entrust to Him. Holy Week reminds us that nothing is too heavy when placed in God’s hands.

May this Holy Monday be a time of renewal for your spirit. If there are burdens weighing on your heart, offer them to Christ. If there are wounds that need healing, allow His mercy to restore you. And if there are relationships that need mending, may you find the courage to forgive and to love again.

As we walk with Jesus on His path toward Calvary, may we learn to embrace humility and patience. His journey was marked by obedience and love, even in the face of suffering. In the same way, we are called to carry our own crosses with faith, trusting that God is working even through our trials.

NGAYON AY BISPERAS NG MAHAL NA ARAW

Ngayong Sabado, ika-28 ng Marso 2026, ay bisperas ng Linggo ng Palaspas (Palm Sunday)—ang pintuan patungo sa pinakamahalagang yugto ng ating pananampalataya: ang Mahal na Araw.

Sa tahimik na paghahanda ng gabing ito, inaanyayahan tayong ihanda ang ating mga puso—hindi lamang sa pagdalo sa mga ritwal, kundi sa isang mas malalim na pakikiisa kay Kristo. Ang bisperas na ito ay tila paanyaya na magnilay: handa ba tayong samahan Siya hindi lamang sa Kanyang tagumpay, kundi pati sa Kanyang paghihirap?

Bukas, sisimulan natin ang paglalakbay mula sa masayang pagsalubong kay Hesus sa Jerusalem, hanggang sa Kanyang pagpapakasakit, kamatayan, at muling pagkabuhay. Ang mga palaspas na ating dadalhin ay hindi lamang simbolo ng pagpupuri, kundi ng ating pangakong manatiling tapat sa Kanya sa kabila ng lahat.

Sa gabing ito, marapat lamang na manahimik sandali—magdasal, magsisi, at magpasalamat. Ialay natin sa Diyos ang ating mga alalahanin, kahinaan, at pag-asa. Hingin natin ang biyayang magkaroon ng pusong marunong umunawa, tumanggap, at magtiwala.

Nawa’y maging makabuluhan ang ating pagpasok sa Mahal na Araw—hindi lamang bilang isang tradisyon, kundi bilang isang tunay na pagbabalik-loob at paglalapit sa Diyos.

Isang mapagpalang bisperas ng Linggo ng Palaspas sa ating lahat. 🙏
