A gathering of parishes and devotees united in faith, mission, and devotion to St.

James the Greater. Buen Camino!

It has been 7 days.. What a journey it has been.

For three days, we gathered.
For three days, we prayed.
For three days, we walked together in faith.

And even when Typhoon Basyang tested us with wind and rain, it could not shake our purpose. It could not silence our praise. It could not stop the Camino.

“Consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” (James 1:2–3)

The storm came — but so did courage.
The rain poured — but so did grace.
Challenges arose — but GREATER was the One who called us.

This Congress was not just an event.
It was a testimony.

A living proof that faith is not just spoken — it is walked.

To every Peregrino who showed up, served, endured, and believed — you are the story of this success.

From the first gathering to this final wrap-up, we declare:

The mission continues. The spirit of Camino remains. The calling stands.

Despite the storm — we are called to Something GREATER.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐝, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫.

From the first light of dawn to the final station, the road was filled with pilgrims in motion. Under heavy rain and cold winds brought by Typhoon Basyang, delegates of the St. James the Great Parishes and Devotees walked on - step by step, prayer by prayer, embracing the Camino as a shared act of faith and perseverance.

This captures the heart of the Camino Walk 2026: faces set with resolve, feet moving despite the storm, and a community united until the last station.

More than a journey of distance, it is a living witness that faith is strengthened when walked together, all the way to the end.

𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠

At 66 years old, Angela De Misa of Plaridel, Bulacan, Diocese of Malolos emerged as the First Finisher of the 7km - Camino Walk 2026, a moment that quietly but powerfully stirred the hearts of fellow pilgrims.

Amid the rain-soaked roads and early dawn chill, her steady pace spoke of a faith long practiced - one shaped by prayer, gratitude, and unwavering trust in God through the intercession of Sr. Santiago.

For Angela, the Camino was not about being first; it was about being faithful. With deep humility, she shared, "Nagpapasalamat ako kay Santiago sa lahat ng blessings". Her words flowed not as a declaration of strength, but as a confession of dependence - on prayer, on grace, and on the God she continually turns to. "Ipinagdarasal ko sa kanya, tinutulungan niya akong manalangin sa Panginoong Diyos", she said, revealing a life anchored in constant dialogue with heaven.

Joining the Camino each Congress has become her personal act of thanksgiving and surrender. "Kaya sinisikap ko na every Congress, gusto kong makalahok at gusto kong makapagpasalamat at humingi ng tulong panalangin", Angela reflected.

Her footsteps that morning were shaped by years of devotion - steps taken not in haste, but in hope. As she reached the finish line, Angela De Misa bore witness that true pilgrimage is not measured by age or distance, but by a heart that never tires of thanking God and entrusting everything to Him.

As we COMMENCE THE END of our 7th National Congress of St. James the Greater, we invite everyone to pause, reflect, and celebrate the grace of this journey by watching and sharing our CONGRESS JINGLE LYRIC VIDEO, “We Are Called to Something Greater.”

This song echoes what we lived together — a mission FROM NETS TO NATIONS, inspired by Santiago, calling us to rise, to serve, and to become LIGHT FOR OTHERS. 🌟

The Congress may be ending, but the CALL CONTINUES.
May every lyric send us forth to carry the fire of this Congress into our homes, parishes, and communities.

🎧 WATCH. SING. SHARE.
Let “Something Greater” resound far beyond Buenavista.

Day 2 of Congress Talk continued under a light drizzle as Talk 2 unfolded. With every step, Rev. Fr. Randy Jasper Odchigue, S.Th.D, invited families to slow down, walk together, and discover meaning not in the distance covered but in the journey shared. Along the road, patience was tested, hands were held, and small moments quietly turned into grace.

As the pilgrims gathered once more, Talk 3 carried the journey forward. Bro. Alvin Barcelona of The Feast reminded the St. James the Greater Parishes and Devotees that following Christ naturally leads to becoming light for others.

What began as a walk ended as a sending - families called to bring the faith they carried on the Camino into their homes, their communities, and the lives they touch every day.
