"SUFFERING BRIDGES US TOWARD THE GLORY OF GOD"

August 30, 2026 β€” Parishioners gathered at San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish – Boston, filled with love, joy, and hope upon attending the Holy Mass.

The Mass was presided over by our parish priest Rev. Fr. Alfe Alimbon, DCM.

During his homily, Fr. Alimbon said that life is hard and filled with suffering and circumstances, but although we had all walked towards the path of unrighteousness, remember that suffering is the way of finding our glory.

Today's mass also reminds us that life is not comfortable and filled with uncertainty, but it doesn't mean that we have to stop and go back. Instead, this encourages us to go beyond every challenge we are facing.

Today, at 5pm, the 2nd day of Novena Mass was celebrated at San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish - Boston.

The mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Alfe B. Alimbon, DCM.

In his homily, he shared that we must have strong affirmation and foundation of faith.

Moreover, Fr. Alimbon gave emphasis on having acceptance and forgiveness. Many people might tempt us, hurt us, and make us drowned. After all, the only way of meeting peace, is by forgiving, accepting, and never commit revenge.

Despite how weak might other people see us, let's choose acceptance over anger, forgiveness over revenge, because that will give us peace and strength on our own definition.

In honor of San Nicolas de Tolentino, the first day of Novena Mass happened on August 28, 2026, at 5pm in San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish - Boston. It was presided by Rev. Fr. Uldarico Toroba Jr., DCM.

In his homily, Fr. Toroba gave emphasis on not becoming too comfortable or simply "chill" and ignore our faith. Instead, we were encouraged to remain steadily firm in our spiritual life.
