The EFCP-Samar Region’s Youth Gathering 2026 held last February 14 at World Harvest Fellowship, Borongan City, was a great success!

Through the message of Samantha Lorraine Chan, our youth were encouraged to be truly “Rooted in Love” (Ephesians 3:17).

This event was made possible by the hard work, unity, and dedication of our Y4K Youth For The King - Eastern Samar Leaders and Officers. To God be the glory for raising a generation passionate for Jesus! ♥️

Two days of reflection, vision, and renewed dependence on the Holy Spirit as we move forward in EFCP’s church planting mission beyond VISION 200.

A two day consultation on church planting multiplication was held at EFCP.

In attendance was the president (Bishop Ariel Jornales), the church planting director (Pastor Jun Sabate), with Steve Elliot and the regional team leaders.

It was a time of looking back to see where we started, and looking forward to where we are headed.

As we swap stories on what the Lord is doing, we acknowledge that church planting needs to be dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit.

We're looking ahead as we close the season of the four year plan, VISION 200.

Praise God for sustaining us!

Happy Anniversary WHF—Dolores!

Feb. 1, 2026— World Harvest Fellowship-Dolores, an EFCP Church located at Brgy. Mogongbong Sitio Darahoway Dolores, E. Samar joyfully celebrated its 6th Church Anniversary, marking six years of God’s faithfulness and growing ministry in the community.

Pastor Henry Brozas warmly welcomed everyone and shared the inspiring story of how God planted the church despite its remote location. He testified that the work of the Lord continues to grow, praising God not only for saving individuals but also entire families in the villages.

Rev. Steve Elliott from EFCA delivered greetings and encouragement together with Pastor John Karlo Añosa and Rev Rennie Gesite, EFCP Samar, also shared words of affirmation and support for the church.

The highlight of the celebration was the powerful sermon preached by Rev. Jun Sabate, (Church Planting Director of EFCP) centered on God’s love from 1 John 1:3–10, reminding the congregation of the transforming power of fellowship with God and one another.

The celebration was filled with thanksgiving as everyone praised God for safe travel, good weather, delicious food, and meaningful fellowship. Truly, the 6th anniversary of World Harvest Dolores was a testimony of God’s grace and continuing work among His people. Padayon!

EFCP–Samar Region Pastors and Leaders Fellowship
📅 January 31, 2026

Today marks a historic and God-ordained moment for our churches. For the first time, pastors and leaders from EFC Eastern Samar and EFC Northern Samar came together in one gathering—united in fellowship, prayer, and vision for God’s work in the Samar Region.

We are deeply blessed by the dedication of our pastors and leaders from Northern Samar who traveled for six hours by motorcycle just to join this fellowship. Their journey is a powerful testimony of sacrifice, commitment, and love for Christ and His church.

We give heartfelt thanks to Pastor Steve Elliott for faithfully sharing the Word of God. His message reminded us that disciple-making is not only about preaching and teaching, but about the power of intentional relationship-building—walking with people, loving them, and helping them grow in Christ.

We are also grateful to Pastor Jun Sabate for coaching and encouraging our church planters. His guidance strengthened our vision and equipped our leaders to faithfully pursue the mission of planting and strengthening churches.

We praise God for answering our prayers for safe travels and good weather. Truly, the Lord is good and His purposes are unfolding among us.

“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!”
— Psalm 107:1 (ESV)

May this historic gathering deepen our unity, strengthen our partnerships, and ignite a greater passion to make disciples in Samar and beyond. Soli Deo Gloria!

EFCP Samar Region Planning Meeting for 2026
January 17, 2026 | WHF Borongan

Thankful for today’s planning meeting as we looked back on last year’s highlights and challenges and looked ahead with faith. Grateful that all EFCP Samar officers were present and for God’s protection during Typhoon Ada. We also enjoyed a meaningful fellowship lunch together.

Please pray for our Pastors and Leaders, our Church Planting ministry, and our Global ministry partners as we move forward together under the Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines.

“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”
Psalm 127:1 (ESV)
