Daily Gospel Reflection | June 19,206
(Matthew 6:19-23)

Imbes magtigum sa mga bahandi dinhi sa yuta nga dali ra madaot o makawat, magtigum ta sa mga bahandi sa langit nga molungtad hangtod sa kahangturan. Huptan usab nga putli ug maayo ang atong kasingkasing kung tarong ang atong tuyo, ang tibuok natong kinabuhi modan-ag sa kaayo.

Ang tinuod nga bahandi ug kalipay makita sa matinud-anong pag-alagad sa Dios, dili sa mga butang sa kalibutan o pagdayeg sa ubang tawo. Kay ang Ginoo maoy maghatag sa tinood nga kalipay ug panalangin nga dili nimo makab-ot sa yuta kundi sa langit mismo kung asa ang Ginoo naghuwat kanato.

Daily Gospel Reflection | June 18,2026
(Matthew 6:7-15)

My dear brothers and sisters, in today’s Gospel, the Lord teaches us how to pray. Prayer does not need to be long and elaborate, what matters most is that it comes from the heart. A short prayer offered with sincerity is better than a long prayer spoken without faith and meaning. When we pray, we should trust in God, knowing that He listens to us and understands our needs even before we ask.

The Lord also reminds us to pray for what is truly good and beneficial, not only for ourselves but also for others. We should ask God for the things we need physically, emotionally, mentally, and especially spiritually. Through the Our Father, Jesus gave us the perfect model of prayer. Therefore, we should not simply recite it from memory, but pray it with understanding, reflection, and devotion.

Likewise, we should never rush our prayers just to finish them quickly. Prayer is not a race but a conversation with God. Let us always pray slowly, sincerely, and with faith, speaking from the depths of our hearts, for the Lord desires not many words but a genuine and heartfelt prayer.

Sa ebanghelyo karon, nakita ni Jesus ang mga tawo nga gikapoy ug naglibog, sama sa mga karnero nga way magbalantay. Busa mi ingon Siya nga daghang anihon apan dyutay ra ang mga mag-aani, ug gipadala Niya ang Iyang mga tinun-an aron mag-ayo ug magwali nga ang Gingharian sa langit duol na nga wala magbayad kay wala pud sila magbayad sa ilang nadawat.

Nagpahinumdom kini nga ang tinuod nga kalooy dili rani mo bati, kundili mo lihok pud ug motabang sa uban bisan pag sa gagmay ra nga paagi.

THE MEMORIAL OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

Sa Ebanghelyo sa Lucas 2:41-51, nakita nato ang kabalaka ni Maria ug Jose sa dihang wala nila makita si Jesus. Sama usab nato, usahay adunay mga butang sa atong kinabuhi nga dili nato masabtan ug makahatag og kahadlok. Apan kini nga Ebanghelyo nagpahinumdom kanato nga magpabilin nga duol sa Dios ug mosalig sa Iyang plano bisan sa mga lisod nga sitwasyon.

Gitudloan usab kita ni Jesus sa pagkamapainubsanon ug pagkamatinumano pinaagi sa Iyang pagrespeto ug pagsunod kang Maria ug Jose. Hinaut nga sundon nato ang Iyang ehemplo pinaagi sa paghigugma sa atong pamilya, pagtahod sa atong mga ginikanan, ug pagpabiling lig-on sa atong pagtuo sa Dios matag adlaw.

(Matthew 11:25-30)

SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS

"In today’s reading, Moses reminds the people that God chose them not because of their greatness, but purely out of love and faithfulness to His covenant. God’s love is steadfast and undeserved, flowing from His mercy and compassion. The psalm echoes this truth, praising the Lord whose love is everlasting and whose forgiveness renews our souls.

In the second reading, John reveals that this divine love reaches its fullness in Christ—God’s own Son given for us—calling us to love one another as proof that God dwells within us. In the GOSPEL, Jesus invites the weary and burdened to find rest in Him. True wisdom and peace are not found through pride or intellect but through humble trust in God’s love.

Together, the readings assure us that God’s love chooses, redeems, and refreshes those who approach Him with childlike faith and hearts open to His grace.

(Matthew 10:7-13)

My dear brothers and sisters, we all know that God has called us to proclaim His Word. He teaches us what to bring and what to do, but have you ever wondered why we are called to do so? In today's Gospel, we find the answer in His words: “You have received freely; give freely.” God is our loving provider who freely gives us everything we need—His love, mercy, guidance, and countless blessings. He asks for nothing in return except that we share these gifts with others. As followers of Christ, we are called not to keep His blessings to ourselves but to become channels of His love and generosity. Through simple acts of kindness, a helping hand, words of encouragement, and a compassionate heart, we can freely give what we have freely received.

More importantly, we are called to invite others to experience God's love. By living our faith sincerely and reflecting Christ in our words and actions, we can inspire those around us to draw closer to Him. Every act of generosity becomes an opportunity to share not only our blessings but also the Good News of God's mercy and goodness. As we go forth today, may we remember that the gifts God has given us are meant to be shared. Let us give freely, love freely, and serve freely, so that through us, others may encounter God and be welcomed into His loving embrace.

Daily Gospel Reflection | June 10,2026
(Matthew 5:17-19)

In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that He did not come to erase the law or the teachings of the prophets, but to fulfill them. This means that everything God has spoken before still has meaning and purpose. Jesus is showing us that God’s word is not something to be ignored or replaced, but something to be lived with faith and sincerity. It invites us to see that obedience to God is not about fear, but about love and trust in His wisdom.

Sometimes, we may think that following God’s commandments is difficult, especially when the world teaches us to follow our own desires. But Jesus teaches us that even the smallest commandment is important. Every act of obedience, even the quiet and unseen ones, has value in God’s eyes. This reminds us that holiness is not only in big actions, but also in the simple choices we make every day—how we speak, how we treat others, and how we stay faithful even when it is hard.

This Gospel invites us to reflect on our own lives: do we respect God’s word, or do we only follow it when it is convenient? Jesus is calling us to a deeper faith that is not selective, but sincere and consistent. When we choose to live according to His teachings, even in small ways, we grow closer to Him and become a light to others. True greatness in God’s kingdom is not about status, but about faithfulness in living His word with love and humility
