YOUTH EASTER RECOLLECTION, WORKSHOP, AND TEAM BUILDING 🫶

Bayyo youth had their easter recollection with their theme "HOPE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT.." - taken from the Book of Saint Paul to the Romans 5:5, at San Pablo Chapel, Bayyo, Bontoc. Our speakers/facilitators Ma'am Jaizy Tanawe , and Ma'am Maureen Madiano, all the way from Tinoc, Ifugao and Cavite, repectively.

In this regard, we would like to extend our thanks to our speakers for sacrificing their time, and to those of you who shared their treasure to make this activity happen. May the Lord continue to bless all of you. 😊

Last Sunday, April 6th, we witnessed our 10 amazing children celebrate their 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻. The church was filled with joy as our family and friends watched these 10 precious children take this significant step, receiving the Holy Eucharist in a ceremony presided over by 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗙𝗿. 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗲𝗹 “𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗲” 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗼..

To these ten beautiful souls, 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒂 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈—a beginning of a deeper relationship with God and a lifelong journey of faith. May your faith continue to grow stronger, guiding and inspiring you always. We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

Fridays of Lent are days of ABSTINENCE! 💜💜💜

Days of Penance according to Canon Law
Can. 1249 The divine law binds all the Christian faithful to do penance each in his or her own way. In order for all to be united among themselves by some common observance of penance, however, penitential days are prescribed on which the Christian faithful devote themselves in a special way to prayer, perform works of piety and charity, and deny themselves by fulfilling their own obligations more faithfully and especially by observing fast and abstinence, according to the norm of the following canons.

Can. 1250 The penitential days and times in the universal Church are every Friday of the whole year and the season of Lent.

Can. 1251 Abstinence from meat, or from some other food as determined by the Episcopal Conference, is to be observed on all Fridays, unless a solemnity should fall on a Friday. Abstinence and fasting are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.

Can. 1252 The law of abstinence binds those who have completed their fourteenth year. The law of fasting binds those who have attained their majority, until the beginning of their sixtieth year. Pastors of souls and parents are to ensure that even those who by reason of their age are not bound by the law of fasting and abstinence, are taught the true meaning of penance.

Can. 1253 The conference of bishops can determine more precisely the observance of fast and abstinence as well as substitute other forms of penance, especially works of charity and exercises of piety, in whole or in part, for abstinence and fast.

𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑

CFC-YFC from Metro Manila, together with YFC Mt. Province, celebrated and served together in the Family Culture and Youth Power event held on January 11, 2025, at our church.

We express our gratitude to everyone who sacrificed their time to help with cleaning, cooking delicious meals, and attending to our participants and guests before, during, and after the program. This event would not be possible without the support of our beloved parents and family.

Are you ready for this year's Panunuluyan?

Panunuluyan, a traditional Filipino reenactment of Joseph and Mary’s search for suitable place for Mary to give birth to Jesus, is a key part of most Filipino Catholics’ Christmas Eve celebrations. It is a good reminder that each of us is an innkeeper who decides if there is room for Jesus in our lives.

On September 21, 2024, the San Pablo Chapel celebrated its annual Thanksgiving Day with the theme, "Indayaw ya inyaman kami Apo Dios, han am-in parabor mo kendakami".

The Thanksgiving mass is presided by Rev. Fr. Bar Fangkingan.
