BETTER TOGETHER
Ecclesiastes 4 (KJV)

Ecclesiastes 4 reminds us that we do not have to face life alone. We need God, and we need one another.

I. CHOOSE CONTENTMENT (v. 6)
Do not live only for success or try to be better than others. Money and possessions cannot give us true happiness. Be thankful for what God has given you.

II. CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER (vv. 9–10)
When one person falls, another can help him get back up. Encourage, support, and help one another when life becomes difficult.

III. CHOOSE CHARACTER AND WISDOM (v. 13)
A person may be rich, powerful, or popular and still lack wisdom. God wants us to have a humble and teachable heart.

Keep Christ at the center of your life. Money and success cannot fully satisfy the heart. True meaning and lasting peace are found in God.

Psalm 51:1-19
A Heart Restored

Every lasting victory over sin begins when we stop hiding and humbly return to God with a repentant heart.

1. RECOGNIZE YOUR SIN (Psalm 51:3)
True repentance starts by honestly acknowledging our sin before God instead of making excuses or pretending it does not exist.

2. REQUEST A CLEAN HEART (Psalm 51:10)
God alone can cleanse our hearts and renew our spirit, giving us the power to live in purity and obedience.

3. RENEW YOUR SURRENDER (Psalm 51:12–13)
A restored relationship with God leads to joyful obedience and a renewed commitment to follow Him faithfully.

God never rejects a truly repentant heart; when we return to Him, He restores, renews, and strengthens us for a fresh beginning.

When Life Breaks, Pray
Text: Nehemiah 1:1–11

When circumstances are beyond my control, they are never beyond God’s control. I can always go to Him in prayer, knowing that He hears, He cares, and He is able to act.

1. HE IMMEDIATELY PRAYED (v. 4).
He sat down and wept, showing his broken spirit because of Jerusalem’s condition. This makes me realize that no time or place can hinder me from praying.

2. HE MOURNED FOR CERTAIN DAYS AND FASTED (v. 4).
This showed that what he felt was not just an emotion that would fade after a while. It makes me realize that consistency shows the sincerity of our motives.

3. HE PETITIONED GOD FOR MERCY (v. 11).
He knew who was able to help him. This makes me realize that God has the final say in everything. If people can’t, God can.

No problem is too difficult for God to solve, and there is no reproach that God cannot redeem.

TEXT: John 15:12-17
TITLE: Stay Connected

Our spiritual strength and fruitfulness come from remaining closely connected to Jesus and abiding in His love.

I. REMAIN IN HIS LOVE — John 15:9
When we remain in Christ’s love, we find the strength and assurance to face every circumstance.

II. RESPOND WITH OBEDIENCE — John 15:10
We show our love for Christ by obeying His commands and allowing His Word to guide our lives.

III. REACH OUT IN LOVE — John 15:12
Because Christ has loved us, we are called to extend that same selfless love to others.

Stay connected to Christ, walk in His Word, and let His love flow through you to the people around you.

The problem of young people today is the influence of this world.

In today’s generation, we hear stories of young people being involved in violence. Others are getting trapped in drugs, bullying, and different kinds of destructive influences. These influences are driving them to hurt others.

But what if someone reached them before they reached that point?

Paul reminded Timothy that he had known the Holy Scriptures from childhood. Why was that important? Because God’s Word gave Timothy something the world could not give him—a foundation for how to live and, most importantly, knowledge of salvation through Christ.

This is why God’s Word is so important for young people.

The world is already reaching them.
Social media is reaching them.
Their friends are reaching them.
Their environment is reaching them.

So what will reach them and bring them the Word of God?

By bringing back Campus Ministry.

Proverbs 22:6
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

So reach them while they are still young. Teach them the Word, and point them to Christ.

We don’t have to wait for young people to come to church. We can meet them where they are—the classroom, on the campus, and among their friends.

We may not be able to reach everyone, but we can reach someone. Because reaching one young person today may mean reaching a whole generation tomorrow.

Young People Need Jesus
2 Timothy 3:15

I. THE WORLD’S INFLUENCE
Without the truth of God’s Word, they can easily be influenced by the wrong things.

II. THE WORD’S INSTRUCTION
Young people need to be taught God’s Word while they are young.

III. THE SAVIOR’S INVITATION
Our responsibility is to introduce them to Christ and point them toward Him.

Jesus in Capernaum
Mark 2:1–28

Jesus ministered in many places and did many miracles throughout His time on earth, even unto this time! In Mark 2, we'll see what He did for His people in the place of Capernaum.

I. JESUS SPEAKS UNTO THE CROWD
A. He Taught Them (v. 1, 13)
Jesus went to Capernaum because He saw the needs of the people—the Word of God. God's Word is what the world needs today.
B. He Rebuked the Scribes (v. 8, 16)
When Jesus perceived the thoughts of the scribes, He corrected them. The purpose of God's Word is not only to exhort but also to correct.

II. JESUS HEALED THE SICK (v. 5)
He healed the man who was palsied at the very moment He saw their faith in Him. Jesus makes miracles only if we have the faith for it.

III. JESUS REACHED OUT TO THE SINNERS (v. 15–16)
Publicans were considered unclean for their constant contact with the Gentiles, and Jesus stooped down to reach those who were in need of His help. Because of His compassion for the lost, Jesus is willing to reach us and be with us despite all the things we have done. (Philippians 2:7)

Out of all His acts in this chapter, there is one thing that hits me the most. It is when He said, “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” That's when I realized that the greatest act He had done was not when He sat down with the sinners or when He healed the sick, but when He forgave the sinners.

Jesus has come for one purpose, and that's to save sinners like us. The greatest thing Jesus has done is when He forgives our sins, rescues us willingly, and loves us unconditionally.

Nonetheless, the lesson of our message today:
1. Let us read God's Word, for this is what the world needs. (v. 13)
2. Let us have faith in the power of Jesus. (v. 5)
3. Let us abide in the presence of Jesus by following Him. (v. 14)
