This couple just moved in Palayan Branch from Cabanatuan a few months ago. They are planned to be sealed in temple this coming August.

Family history consultant, Mark Angelo Pascua Santos, decided to introduce Family History to Brother Arthur Ubungin and discovered that some of his ancestors are ready to be baptized!

When they go to the temple this August, they won't only perform sacred ordinances for themselves but also the opportunity to help his ancestors.

Family history is a family affair, but not all family members face the same situation. Many of our ancestors have died without being married or having children. Some divorced, and some married several times. Many had children who were disabled or who died young. Everyone has a story.

Every soul, living or dead, who is accountable for his or her actions needs the blessing of sacred temple ordinances, and we can help our family members receive them. It doesn’t matter if you are single, whether your husband or wife is less active, or whether you yourself are less active or even a member of the Church, you too can assist in the salvation of souls. There can be no more important, fulfilling, or glorious work. - Elder Quentin Cook

One of the councilors of Bongabon District doing their Family History. His parents died couple of years already and haven't had a chance to do the necessary works for their salvation but it's NEVER TOO LATE to start doing it! By doing his family tree today, he was able to discover a lot of his ancestors and printed them to be performed in the temple soon! Thanks for the help of one of the Palayan Family History consultant, Mark Angelo Pascua Santos for helping President Nicanor in this great work!

The salvation of our dead ancestors is “essential to our salvation.” Our lives are closely tied to our ancestors’ lives, for we cannot become perfect without them nor they without us (D&C 128:15).

Baptism for the dead is the “most glorious of all subjects belonging to the everlasting gospel” (v. 17).

Thank you Sister Erika Santos for helping our ancestors receive sacred ordinances for their salvation.
