The Ultimate Temptation
MATTHEW 4:9-10
V10 JESUS SAID TO HIM, "AWAY FROM ME, SATAN! FOR IT IS WRITTEN: 'WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, & SERVE HIM ONLY.
Satan shows us what he really wants. He's after our worship. He wants us to stop worshipping God & to bow down & follow him instead.
God alone is worthy of our worship. He alone is perfect in all His actions, thoughts & attitudes
Worship is our greatest defense against subtle deceptions & temptation.

One Size Does Not Fit All!
MATTHEW 2:11
ON THE COMING TO THE HOUSE, THEY SAW THE CHILD W/ HIS MOTHER MARY, & THEY BOWED DOWN & WORSHIPED HIM. THEN THEY OPENED THEIR TREASURES & PRESENTED HIM W/ GIFTS OF GOLD & OF INCENSE & OF MYRRH.
God led the Magi by a star, a sign they could understand culturally. He spoke to the shepherds through angels & a verbal message full of Old Testament imagery like the "town of David, a "Saviour ","Christ the Lord"(Lk.2:11)
Our God is not a "one-size-fits-all" God. Our task in cooperating w/ Him is to find those paths & walk them in order to lead others to Jesus Christ.

Where Our Destiny Begins
GENESIS 1:1
IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS & THE EARTH.
The world exists because God willed it into existence. From the beginning he had a purpose & a destiny for His created beings.
The purpose of all things flows from who God is. And central to all His purposes & to all creation, is His triune nature.
Relationship is God's highest priority & greatest desire. It should be ours as well.
God did not create us just to do things for Him, but to love & honor Him as children do their father.
HOW ARE YOU PURSUING INTIMACY W/ GOD?

V1 A RECORD OF THE GENEALOGY OF JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF DAVID, THE SON OF ABRAHAM.V16 & JACOB THE FATHER OF JOSEPH, THE HUSBAND OF MARY, OF WHOM WAS BORN JESUS, WHO IS CALLED CHRIST.
Jesus ' genealogy reveals that He had Jewish roots as the descendant of Abraham & king David as well as Gentile roots in His family tree.
God's intent was to have a family comprising all the peoples of the world.
Get to know your family members!!! Pray for them & share the love of Jesus to them...

The One Who Shakes Nations
AMOS 4:13
HE WHO FORMS THE MOUNTAINS, CREATES THE WIND, & REVEALS HIS THOUGHTS TO MAN, HE WHO TURNS DAWN TO DARKNESS, & TREADS THE HIGH PLACES OF THE EARTH -- THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY IS HIS NAME.
God is pleading w/ the Israelites to turn back to Him before a far worse disaster hit them. Sadly, they didn't heed His warnings or take responsibility for their actions.
God won't tolerate sin forever. He's even revealed what He intends to do about it, it's up to us to listen.

V24 BUT LET JUSTICE ROLL ON LIKE A RIVER, RIGHTEOUSNESS LIKE A NEVER-FAILING STREAM!
God is just & upright in all He does. Therefore He longs for His people to have a passion for justice that will lead them to follow His example.

MY MOUTH IS FILLED WITH YOUR PRAISE, & WITH YOUR GLORY ALL THE DAY.
Praising God is one of the best things you can do. Not only does it make God's heart glad, but it make your heart happy, too.
Dear God, thank You for being who You are & for everything You have done for me. I am so thankful. AMEN

Growing Up
PROVERBS 16:9
WE MAKE OUR OWN PLANS, BUT THE LORD DECIDES WHERE WE WILL GO.
You are growing & changing & experiencing a lot of new things. That's pretty exciting! And no one is happier about how you are growing than God.
Dear God, thank You for all the plans You have made for me & for making sure I go in the right direction. AMEN..
