Today, we gathered in faith and community to celebrate the Flores de Mayo! Through teaching, prayer, and reflection, our young people deepened their love for Mary as we shared:

𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐜𝐤

In the Roman Catholic faith, the Anointing of the Sick is very important because it is not only a prayer for healing, but also a sacrament of comfort, strength, forgiveness, and God’s mercy. 🙏🤍

Through this sacrament, the sick and elderly are reminded that they are never alone in their suffering. The Holy Spirit gives peace, courage, and spiritual healing during moments of weakness, pain, fear, or serious illness.

It also includes the forgiveness of sins for those who are unable to confess, preparing the soul with grace and bringing comfort both to the person and their loved ones. Sometimes healing comes physically, emotionally, or spiritually , but God’s presence through this sacrament is one of the greatest gifts of faith. ⛪

The body may grow tired and the mind may become heavy, but the Holy Spirit is the quiet strength God gives us, guiding, comforting, and renewing us when we feel weak, lost, or exhausted. 🙏🤍 It reminds us that as humans, we are not meant to carry everything alone.

This Mother’s Day Mass was a beautiful reminder of that grace. Mothers carry so much silently , physically, emotionally, and spiritually , yet continue to love with patience, sacrifice, and faith.

Praying that the Holy Spirit continues to guide and strengthen all mothers, filling their hearts with peace, courage, and the love they so freely give every single day. 🌷

Ang Flores de Mayo ay ipinagdiriwang bilang pag-aalay ng pagmamahal at debosyon kay Mama Mary sa buong buwan ng Mayo. Isa rin itong paalala sa atin na palalimin ang ating pananampalataya at turuan ang kabataan ng kahalagahan ng panalangin, kabutihan, at pagmamahal sa Diyos at kapwa.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagtuturo ng Santo Rosaryo, simpleng lectures, games, at mga gawaing puno ng aral at saya, unti-unti nating nahuhubog ang puso ng kabataan habang mas lalo silang napapalapit sa simbahan at sa Diyos. 🙏

Nakakatuwang makita ang masasayang ngiti at aktibong pakikibahagi ng bawat bata , patunay na ang simpleng oras na inilalaan para sa kanila ay may malaking epekto sa kanilang pananampalataya at paglaki bilang mabubuting tao.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng volunteers, magulang, sponsors, at kabataang nakibahagi at naglaan ng oras para sa gawaing ito.

Prayer before Work to St. Joseph the Worker

O Glorious Saint Joseph,
model of all those who are devoted to labor,
obtain for me the grace to work in a spirit of penance
for the expiation of my many sins;
to work conscientiously, putting the call of duty
above my natural inclinations;
to work with thankfulness and joy,
considering it an honor to employ and develop
by means of labor, the gifts received from God;
to work with order, peace, moderation, and patience,
never shrinking from weariness and trials;
to work above all with purity of intention
and detachment from self,
keeping unceasingly before my eyes death

Blessed to witness. Challenged to answer.

Our St. Joseph Youth gathered in prayer and celebration, not just to observe the World Day of Prayer for Vocations, but to listen, truly listen, to what God is calling us to become.

From the sharers, we deeply learned that every person is born with unique gifts, talents, passions, abilities, and a specific purpose waiting to be lived authentically. But living that gift demands sacrifice. True love requires us to give beyond what is convenient, to be vulnerable, and to love even when it costs us something, a love modeled after Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Yet we cannot answer this call alone. We must listen to the authentic voices that pierce through the noise of the world, the testimonies of saints, the witness of faithful priests and religious, and the authentic joy of those living their calling. These voices cut away the superficial and awaken us to ask, “What am I called to?” Most importantly, as we understand and know Christ better through adoration, prayer, and encountering His Word, we must be prepared for the responsibility that comes with that knowledge. Intimacy with Christ breeds accountability. We cannot truly know Him and remain unchanged. Greater understanding equals greater responsibility. Your vocation is not a choice, but a sacred obligation born from love, one that demands your whole heart, your whole will, and your complete commitment. This is the essence of vocation, a lived, embodied, courageous answer to God’s personal call on your life.

Every vocation, priesthood, religious life, marriage, consecrated service, is a love letter from God. The question is not whether He is calling. The question is, “WILL WE ANSWER?”
