A Call for Prayers and Support for Mommy Ianne!

Dear Family, Friends, Fellow Parishioners, and Kindhearted Supporters,

With humble hearts, we are reaching out to ask for your prayers, love, and financial support for our beloved Marianne Dela Rosa, lovingly known to many as Ate Ianne or Mommy Ianne, who is currently fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

Mommy Ianne is presently receiving treatment at The Medical City Ortigas. Her treatment will involve chemotherapy, hospitalization, medications, and eventually a bone marrow/stem-cell transplant. This will be a long and challenging journey, requiring significant medical and financial resources.

For those who know Mommy Ianne, you know the kind of person she is. She currently serves as the BPL President of Saint Valentine Chapel, dedicating much of her time and energy to serving the Lord and her community. She is a generous, loving, hopeful, and prayerful woman who has always been willing to help others, especially the children. She gives wholeheartedly without expecting anything in return and has spent so much of her life caring for and supporting the people around her.

Now, it is our turn to come together and support her.

As her family and fellow members of the church community, we humbly ask for your help in any way you can. Any amount, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated and will go directly toward her medical treatment, including chemotherapy, hospitalization, medications, laboratory tests, and other treatment-related expenses. Every contribution can help ease the financial burden and allow the family to focus on what matters most—her recovery.

Welcoming the Newly Elected Officers of Saint Valentine and Saint Michael the Archangel Chapel

June 27 marked a significant and joyful occasion for the faith community of Saint Valentine and Saint Michael the Archangel Chapel as the election of the new set of chapel officers was successfully held.

After the Mass, members of the community gathered for the election meeting, where they actively participated in choosing the new leaders who will serve and guide the chapel. The event was also attended by the former officers, whose presence reflected their continued support and commitment to the chapel community.

Following the election, the newly elected officers were formally introduced and warmly welcomed by the community. Their willingness to accept the responsibility of serving the chapel was met with congratulations, prayers, and encouragement from everyone present.

As a token of appreciation, the community expressed their heartfelt gratitude for her unwavering commitment to the chapel.

Ms. Genielyn Ocon also delivered her farewell message, expressing her sincere thanks to the community for their trust, support, and cooperation during her years of service. Her words reflected both gratitude and hope for the continued growth of the chapel under its new leadership.

Happy Feast Day, Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus!

𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐘 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 | The 140th Year of the Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in the Pious Work of the Evangelical Rogation of the Heart of Jesus (1886-2026)

𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒔 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒔.

“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆” - as St. Hannibal Mary called them (in the plural) - are “annual tributes of faith and love”, which is not limited to the date of the First of July, but also include the days before and after, almost like a triptych of love. This pious heritage wants to immerse us in the sentiments and faith of St. Hannibal Mary in the Eucharistic presence of our tabernacles, inaugurated on July 1, 1886, and renewed with great reverence “in the middle of each year”.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. Following the tradition of Father Hannibal, we live these days in the absence of the Eucharist as a deprivation of love, while we wait to be embraced again by it. In front of the empty Tabernacle, we repeat the words of Peter to Jesus: “Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!” (Lk 5:8). These days of preparation can be an “opportune occasion for renewal for the Pious Institute”, therefore they should be lived with a spirit of penitence and repentance, and as an occasion of purification for each Rogationist and for each community. It is a time of searching: we are the “scattered flock without a shepherd” who yearns to go in search of the Good Shepherd, who will come on the first of July “among his lambs in order to form his own little flock which, entrusted to Him in the sacrament to be tended by himself and to live with him without fear. ”

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The date of the First of July, “in the midst of the year”, demonstrates the centrality of the Eucharist in our life as Rogationists and in our Institutes. We are reminded of the words of Habakkuk: “Lord, in the midst of the years revive it” (Hab 3:2). The First of July has been given to us so that we may welcome it without any preconception, and we can continue to do so each year with our hearts open to the “new things” that the Lord does.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. The days of celebration and joy for what the Lord has accomplished among us follow the central date of the First of July. Father Hannibal wanted them to be held especially in the presence of guests and friends of the community who could also enjoy what the Lord had done for the Pious Institute. Usually, they were held on the Sunday after the first of July, but to have friends and the whole community present, they were moved even as late as August.
