It adheres to the church's mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ in the Philippines and beyond (Matthew 28:18-20) with its vision of lives and communities being transformed through Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17, Acts 2:42-47). Sa unang buwan ng taon, muling nagpapatuloy ang ating gawain upang maabot ang mas marami para sa Diyos. Sa pamamagitan ng Life Groups ng GCF Bocaue, tayoโ€™y nagtitipon sa ibaโ€™t ibang tahanan at komunidad dito sa bayan ng Bocaue upang magbahagi ng buhay, magpalakas ng pananampalataya, at magmahalan bilang isang pamilya kay Kristo. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’š

โ€œAll this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: โ€œBehold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuelโ€ (which means, God with us).โ€ Matthewโ€ฌ โ€ญ1:22-23โ€ฌ

The Christmas story is about the Eternal Son of God incarnating himself and coming to dwell with mankind; โ€œImmanuelโ€ or God with us. Jesus is Christ/Messiah. He came to earth, fulfilled his mission to redeem mankind from sinโ€™s penalty, death (separation from God is Life). Scriptures tell us that to those, who in faith receive him as God and Savior, shall receive pardon and the gift of sharing in Godโ€™s life. Believers will experience guaranteed security in the eternal love of God; nothing shall separate him/her from the Lord.

Father, your Gospel brings hope in this corrupting world. Your offer of salvation and life eternal through Christ brings securing amidst all the fears, troubles and perils of this present existence. This is the Christmas Gospel, which enables us to celebrate amidst the challenges of today. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

The root of our Christmas celebrations is founded in this truth. โ€œGod showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real loveโ€”not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.โ€ (1 John 4:9-10)

God, thank you for demonstrating your love so powerfully in grace. As in any gift, we are to receive it to enjoy it. I am forever grateful for your tremendous sacrifice, sending your begotten Son to give his life so we are ransomed for the penalty of sin. Thank you for shining your Light on me so that in faith I may appropriate your love and receive Christ as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for the gift of eternal life in Christ. In His Name, I pray. Jesus said: โ€œI give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will sn**ch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to sn**ch them out of the Fatherโ€™s hand. I and the Father are one.โ€ (John 10:28-30 ESV)

Every true follower of Christ is blessed with this fact; a reality that surely brings peace and joy to his/her life. The perfect, powerful love of God brings total security to someone who completely trusts Christ Jesus, as Lord and Savior. The invitation to such a life is open to anyone who has a change of mind of Christ.

Lord Jesus, thank you for being the bridge to salvation and eternal life. Your perfect, powerful and constant love brings deep peace and joy to my earthly sojourn. Grant me faith always so I may live the life you gave to the full. Amen.

Are you sort of feeling down? One of the keys to joy is thankfulness. The psalmist discovered this way and wrote: โ€œI will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.โ€ (Psalm 9:1-2 ESV)๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝGod, we repent of our ways and choose the path of gratitude. As I recount all that you have done for me and all the things that you have withheld from me, I am deeply thankful for your love, wisdom and grace. You are indeed a perfectly loving Father; an ever present friend and all-wise guide to life and living. What a joy to praise the Lord as we celebrate our 2nd Anniversary last Sunday! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™ Two years of growing together, serving together, and witnessing His grace in every season.
