• Ang SAC ay isa sa mga Komisyon sa Diyosesis ng Boac. Noong ika-10 ng Mayo, 1978, itinatag ang Diyosesis ng Boac at kasabay nito ang pagkakatatag ng SAC o Komisyon ng Paglilingkod. Ito ay ginawang service arm o social apostolate ng diyosesis.

• Ang SAC ay network ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines – Episcopal Commission on Social Apostolate - National Secretariat for Social Action- Justice and Peace (NASSA -JP) o Caritas Filipinas Foundation, Incorporated.
