Today marks the beginning of our novena in honor of Our Lady of Purification, and what a special way to start this spiritual journey! The Day 1 Novena Mass will be celebrated at 4:30 PM, and we are honored to have Rev. Fr. Fernan Estrada as our presider.

Fr. Fernan hails from Mabini St., Poblacion, Binmaley, the son of Caesar and Rosalia Estrada. He is currently assigned to Santuario de Santa Barbara Holy Family Parish in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan. As one of our own, his presence reminds us of the deep faith and commitment nurtured in our beloved town of Binmaley.

Todayโ€™s Mass is made possible through the support of our sponsors: Brgy. Gayaman, Brgy. Naguilayan, and Brgy. Manat. We thank them for their generosity and dedication in leading us in prayer and service.

Let us come together as one community of faith at 4:00 PM for the Novena be followed by the Mass at 4:30 PM to honor Our Lady of Purification and draw inspiration from her unwavering trust in God. Let this novena be a time of grace, renewal, and deeper devotion for all of us.

Each day is a precious gift, full of new possibilities. We are called to walk in the light of Christ, allowing His love, grace, and truth to guide us in every step. Every morning offers a fresh start, a chance to turn away from past struggles and embrace the new beginning He offers. No matter what yesterday held, today is an opportunity to live fully in His presence and reflect His light to the world around us.

Christ is always inviting us to step forward with faith, trusting that He will lead us through every challenge and triumph. As we walk in His light, we grow closer to Him, becoming the people He created us to be. Let us embrace each day as an opportunity to renew our hearts and lives, walking boldly in the new beginning He offers.

Feast of Santo Niรฑo: A Celebration of Childlike Faith and Trust

The Feast of Santo Niรฑo, celebrated on the third Sunday of January, holds a special place in the hearts of many Filipinos. This beloved feast honors the Holy Child Jesus, representing innocence, humility, and the boundless love of Christ for all, especially the young.

The image of the Santo Niรฑo reminds us to approach God with childlike faith, trust, and simplicity. As Jesus said, โ€œWhoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.โ€ (Mk 10:15)

This feast also commemorates the rich history of Christianity in the Philippines, with the Santo Niรฑo being a symbol of the first Christian community in the country.

Let us celebrate with joy, renew our faith, and entrust our lives to the Holy Child, seeking His guidance and blessings.

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. Too often, we hold on to past hurts, regrets, or missed opportunities, allowing them to define our present and future. But God calls us to release whatโ€™s behind and trust in His promise that He is doing something new in our lives. The weight of yesterday need not carry into today; His grace is enough to heal and restore.

God is always at work in us, making all things new. As we embrace His plans, we allow Him to shape our lives, free from the shadows of the past. Let us trust that the new thing He is doing will bring about transformation and renewal, and in that, we find hope.

The True Sto. Niรฑo

As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sto. Niรฑo, letโ€™s remember to stay close to the true image of the Holy Child. There are some images, like the โ€œSto. Niรฑo de la Suerte,โ€ which are not recognized by our Catholic faith. These altered images are tied to superstitions about luck and wealth, which do not align with the teachings of the Church.

The Catholic Church reminds us that our trust should always be in Godโ€™s grace and mercy, not in objects promising good luck. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that placing faith in such superstitions takes us away from true devotion to God.

We venerate the Sto. Niรฑo de Cebu, who reminds us of Christโ€™s love and humility. As the late Archbishop Vidal once said, โ€œWe have only one Sto. Niรฑo, and thatโ€™s the Sto. Niรฑo de Cebu. That is enough.โ€

If you have any of these superstitious images, itโ€™s best to dispose of them, focusing instead on deepening our faith in Godโ€™s love. Letโ€™s continue to grow in our devotion to the true Sto. Niรฑo, who guides us in faith and trust in Godโ€™s providence.

May we always seek His grace and love in our lives.

On January 19, Sunday, on the Solemnity of Sto. Niรฑo, we encourage everyone to bring their images of Sto. Niรฑo for a special blessing after each Mass. Let us come together as a community to express our devotion and gratitude for the blessings we receive through the intercession of Sto. Niรฑo.

The celebration of Sto. Niรฑo reminds us of the childlike trust and humility that Jesus exemplifies. It calls us to renew our faith and foster a heart filled with love and obedience to God, as children are naturally inclined to trust and follow their parents. This solemnity also highlights the enduring legacy of Christianity in our nation, brought by the image of Sto. Niรฑo.

Letโ€™s come together in faith, bringing our Sto. Niรฑo images to be blessed, and celebrate the profound love of God in our lives.
