In Matthew 1:18โ€“24, we reflect on the quiet yet powerful faith of Joseph. Faced with confusion, pain, and uncertainty, Joseph chose compassion and righteousness. Even when he did not fully understand Godโ€™s plan, he listened, trusted, and obeyed. Through a dream, God reassured him that what seemed impossible was part of His divine will.

Joseph reminds us that faith does not always require loud words or grand actionsโ€”sometimes it is shown through silent obedience and complete trust in God. As we journey closer to Christmas, may we learn to let go of our fears, trust in Godโ€™s guidance, and say yes to His plans, knowing that He is always working for our good.

In Luke 1:26โ€“38, we witness the Annunciation, where the angel Gabriel is sent by God to Mary with a message that will change the course of salvation history. Though young and humble, Mary is troubled and afraid, yet she listens with an open heart. She asks questions, seeks understanding, and ultimately places her complete trust in God. Her response, โ€œI am the servant of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word,โ€ becomes a powerful example of faith, obedience, and surrender.

Having celebrated the fifth day of Misa de Gallo, let us carry Maryโ€™s courageous yes in our hearts. Her trust in Godโ€™s plan reminds us that even beyond the celebration, we are called to live each day in faith, openness, and surrender, allowing Christ to be born anew in our lives, our families, and our communities.

As we celebrate the Third Day of Misa de Gallo, we continue our journey of faith and hopeful waiting for the coming of Christ. Presided by Rev. Fr. Matt Jason John Molina, this dawn Eucharist reminds us to trust in Godโ€™s promises and welcome Emmanuel into our hearts.
