Augustine once said, "He who sings well prays twice". Serving God through Vocal Music, that is what meant by the official university choir of University of Perpetual Help System JONELTA, the Servi Dei Vocal Ensemble. We are a musical group composed of wide-array of musicians and music enthusiast including band and choral singers, established by Dr. Jose Romano O. Jalop, together with the mentors A

lejandro Tabino, Manoy Alipon, Monching Barado and Jerryx Bugas (also known as ALJEMAJORA) way back in 1990. It was in 1988 when Dr. Jalop, a Music teacher of the Basic Education Department of Perpetual Biñan, called the group High School Glee Club, then eventually changed by Mr. Noel Alipon, one of the mentors, into "Servi Dei" which means Servants of God. Not to mention but SDVE was hailed champions at various ocassions and made it as our driving motivation to continue the legacy of the growing choral group. However, our primary goal is not to achieve awards and prizes but to exemplify worship and praises.

The Objectives of the Music Department and the choir itself are to:

1. Provide the basic knowledge in choral singing;
2. Develop God-given talents through choral singing;
3. Possess desirable attitudes thus preserving and developing moral, spiritual and social values;
4. Enhance skills by broadening each member's abilities in choral and/or individual singing through musical seminars and workshops;
5. Possess proper attitudes that shows appreciation and respect to music, culture and arts;
6. Develop ones self-confidence in singing as a member of the choir and as an individual; and
7. Perform satisfactorily and competently.

Auditions are now open starting August 07, 2018.

For those who will join the auditions, please prepare one (1) tagalog and one (1) english song.

Auditions will be held at the Mini Auditorium in Elementary Building and will start at 3:00 pm.
