Happy 3rd Sunday of November!

The children learned about Jonah’s fear and pride that caused him to run from God. He does not wish to go to Nineveh to preach repentance to the people, as God has commanded, because he feels they are his enemies, and he is convinced that God will not carry out his threat to destroy the city. However, he faced turmoil and hardships because of his disobedience and later decided to follow His instructions.

Jonah learns his lesson. When God uses a wind, a gourd, and a worm to teach him that He is merciful.

Inviting all the teachers, leaders, kids ministry heads and volunteers out there on our VBS Seminar and Clinic for this year's VBS with the theme, "JOURNEY: Discovering God’s Miracles along the Way". This will be on April 12, 2025, 8AM at FBCC Central with registration fee of 50 pesos (lunch included). On this event, we will be sharing to our VBS volunteers the details about this year's VBS theme, the do's and dont's for VBS teachers and volunteers, and a lot more!

For our outreaches, please send representatives because this will surely be helpful for our ministries. Thank you and may God bless us. 😇

Blessed 4th Sunday of March!

“Christ had no sin. But God made him become sin. God did this for us so that in Christ we could become right with God.” -2 Corinthians 5:21

The Sunday Schoolers learned about Jesus who was crucified on a cross like a common criminal, even though He had never done anything wrong. He was whipped, spat on the face, forced Him to wear the crown of thorns, and made him carry the cross beam that was probably 30-40 pounds, He was severely tortured and mocked but He did the will of God. While He was on the cross, the earth became dark. The huge curtain in the temple in Jerusalem suddenly ripped in half at the exact moment Jesus died outside the city which indicates that He already fulfilled the atonement. He died for our sins. For you and for me. Through Jesus, we can have direct access to God.

Blessed 3rd Sunday of March!

Thanking God the children learned about Peter's denial of Jesus three times then made him realize his fault through the rooster's crow and how he rebounded to do His ministry. Peter sinned and hurt Jesus that led to his discouragement but let us be reminded that if we do fall, let us be willing to repent and just continue to do great and mighty works in the kingdom of the Lord.

Sunday schoolers learned Jesus's entry into Jerusalem riding a donkey. Traditionally, kings rode horses to signify war and conquest, while donkeys represented peace and humility. By riding a donkey, Jesus proclaimed His kingship, but also emphasized the peaceful nature of His reign. The story shows that triumphal entry is not an earthly king as some imagined, but as the true King who would reign forever in God’s story of love, forgiveness, grace, and redemption.

The Sunday Schoolers learned about the love and compassion of Jesus to forgive Zaccheaus of what he has done as a corrupt tax-collector.

The story reminds us that the Lord has already forgiven us, and all we need to do is to respond and allow Jesus to change our lives.

Sharing with y'all snippets of VBS 2024 that happened last June 10-14. For its fourth day, we had 113 kids with us! God is good! ❤
