The Parish Youth Ministry of Our Lady of Candles officially kicked off its first session of the Alpha Youth Series, led by Bro. Louie Emejas.

The session began with an opening prayer, followed by a short get-to-know activity and the formation of small groups for sharing and discussion.

The Alpha Youth Series is a 10-week program designed to help young people explore life, faith, and purpose in a friendly and open environment. Through short videos and guided conversations, the youth are encouraged to freely express their thoughts, questions, and personal experiences about God, life, and everyday challengesโ€”without fear of judgment.

Each session focuses on sharing, curiosity, and real-life experiences as participants reflect on the questions presented in the video and discuss them within their small groups.

The session concluded with a closing prayer and a heartfelt thanksgiving to everyone who took part in this meaningful and inspiring activity.

The Belison Parish Youth Ministry warmly invites and encourages all young people to join this fun, welcoming, and faith-filled journey.

The next session will be on February 22, 2026.

Sunday, January 25, 2026, the Ministry of Catechists, in coordination with the Belison Parish Youth Ministry, conducted an activity in celebration of ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐’๐ฎ๐ง๐๐š๐ฒ. After the Mass, children, together with their parents, gathered at the BOLO Hall for a simple fellowship meal. This was followed by various activities, including a ๐—•๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ค๐˜‚๐—ถ๐˜‡ ๐—•๐—ฒ๐—ฒ, โ€œ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜ ๐— ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ ๐—ฃ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ,โ€ and the โ€œ๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฝ, ๐—›๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜†โ€ games, facilitated by the Parish Youth Ministry. The activity concluded with the distribution of prizes, and the children returned home joyful and fulfilled.

The day began with a eucharistic mass led by ๐“•๐“ป. ๐“›๐“ธ๐“ป๐“ฎ๐“ท๐”ƒ๐“ธ ๐“œ. ๐“•๐“ฎ๐“ป๐“ท๐“ช๐“ท๐“ญ๐“ฎ๐”ƒ ๐“™๐“ป., followed by a plenary talk by ๐“ข๐“ป. ๐“œ๐“ช. ๐“ก๐“ธ๐“ผ๐“ฒ๐“ท๐“ฒ ๐“Ÿ. ๐“”๐“ผ๐“ฌ๐“ช๐“ป๐“ฒ๐“ต๐“ต๐“ช on spiritual development challenges. A talk show with former youth coordinators then explored youth issues in ministry/parish. Delegates connected and shared ideas in group dynamics/synthesis.

Despite the heavy rain, the afternoon session was filled with laughter and games. The day ended up with a peaceful Taize Prayer.

A festive barrio fiesta brought delegates and their foster families together for a delicious dinner and shared stories. The night cultivated by a parish night, where each parish showcased their skills and talents. Foster families were given a certificate in recognition for their kindness. The day wrapped up with an energetic praise jam.

The SJDYD 2025 commenced with a vibrant caravan, symbolizing a united journey, which traveled from Cubay, Sibalom to the grounds of St. Peters Seminary. This was followed by a "sadsad" that joyfully paraded its way from St. Peters Seminary to the host parish, St. Peter the Apostle - San Pedro.

Embracing Day 1: ๐˜ผ๐™™๐™ก๐™–๐™ฌ ๐™‹๐™–๐™ก๐™–๐™ฌ๐™ค๐™™, which signifies setting sail and venturing beyond familiar horizons, the delegates from the Parish of Our Lady of Candles - Belison proudly embark on this journey, symbolizing their commitment to navigating towards a future filled with ษขแดแดแด…ษดแด‡ss, สŸแด€sแด›ษชษดษข แด˜แด‡แด€แด„แด‡, แด€ษดแด… แดแด แด‡ส€า“สŸแดแดกษชษดษข แดŠแดส.
