🌕🌸 Get Ready for the Pink Moon!

Tomorrow night, April 1, the full “Pink Moon” will light up the sky in all its glory. While it won’t actually appear pink, its name comes from the early spring bloom of moss pink flowers that spread vibrant color across the ground this time of year.

This full moon is special—it’s the first one of spring, symbolizing new beginnings, warmer days, and nature coming back to life. Across different cultures, it has been given names that reflect this seasonal shift, from melting ice and flowing rivers to the return of birds and blooming plants.

It also plays an important role in setting the date for Easter, as it’s considered the Paschal full moon. And this year, it happens to fall on April Fools’ Day—just a fun little cosmic coincidence!

A Grey-faced Buzzard was seen passing through the area, likely part of its seasonal migration across the Philippines. These magnificent raptors travel thousands of kilometers across Asia, and moments like this remind us how important our natural landscapes are for wildlife.

What a beautiful sight tonight as we witnessed the stunning Blood Moon shining brightly above us. With the warmth of our bonfire and the laughter of our amazing OJTs, the night felt even more special.
