PRAY FOR BISHOP ELMER!
Through the intercession of our Blessed Mother, The Lady of Good Harvest, let us gather ourselves in prayer in hoping for the best in the upcoming surgery of our dear bishop, Most Rev. Jose Elmer Mangalinao, DD.
------
PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF GOOD HARVEST
for the intention of Bishop Jose Elmer's successful operation and fast recovery
Dearest Virgin Mary,
Mother of the Good Harvest and Mother of our Diocese,
we turn to you at this very moment
to ask your ardent intercession
for the swiftest healing of our shepherd,
Bishop Jose Elmer,
whose health is being challenged
by the frailty of life today.
Look kindly on your Son's lowly servant,
so that in the rarest strength you showed to submit to God,
he may confide to your fortitude and protection
and entrust everything, most especially his health,
to the sustaining grace of the Lord.
As our bishop has to go through
this bold moment of his well-being,
we ask for your guidance, O Loving Mother,
to be imparted to the surgeons and their team,
for it is unto their knowledge that we give
our Bishop for the healing he needs.
Through your intercession, may your Son,
the Divine Physician,
lead their skills and senses
in reaping the successful reward of this surgery,
that in the highest hopes we have of which
we offer to God the Most High,
pray that this would be the way for him
to get the vigor of leading us again.
As a sheep experiences its unique difficulties,
we recognize that its shepherd, too,
may have his own challenges in the life he has.
We place our shepherd to your maternal care and direction,
that in your goodness, he too may
find his way, healthy, safe and sound,
to the flock who awaits for his presence, and for him
to continue the wonders of God's love
to the least, lost and last.
We entrust ourselves, most especially our Bishop,
to you, O Mary Mother of Good Harvest.
Intercede for us before Jesus Christ,
your Son, Our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Mary, Our Lady of the Good Harvest, Pray for us!
