The Authority of Paul and the Assurance in Christ

1 Timothy 1:1 - “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;”

A. The Authority of Paul
Paul was not self-appointed; he was commanded by God. His apostleship carries divine authority for this dispensation of grace. To follow Paul’s gospel is to follow Christ’s revealed will for us today.

B. The Assurance in Christ
Our hope is not an uncertain wish but a living Person—the Lord Jesus Christ. In Him, we find security, confidence, and eternal assurance. He is the anchor of our faith and the guarantee of our future.

Takeaway: Paul brings the message; Christ is the hope. Let us stand in the authority of God’s Word and rest in the assurance of our Savior.

"Grounded in the Word, growing in grace, preparing for service."

By God’s grace, today we joyfully completed the first day of our Field Bible School here at the Fundamental Grace Gospel Church of Christ in the Philippines, Inc. – Bayog Council.

It is truly encouraging to witness men and women gathered with eager hearts, ready to learn the Word of God rightly divided, and to be equipped for future service in the Body of Christ. This marks the beginning of a journey of faith, growth, and training for the ministry.

As Paul reminded Timothy: “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2).

All glory belongs to God for this blessed start! We trust Him to continue the good work He has begun in the lives of these faithful brethren.
