In Scripture, God sometimes used these to display His holy anger and righteous judgment. When Israel rejected Him as their true King, the Lord sent thunder and rain as a sign of His displeasure (1 Samuel 12:16–18). His voice is described as thunder that shakes the earth (Psalm 29:3–9).

This does not mean every storm today is God's direct judgment on a specific people. But every storm reminds us that God is sovereign, holy, and worthy of reverent fear.

The proper response is not speculation-but repentance, faith in Christ, and worship.
