For 53 years, God has remained faithful.

As we celebrate our 53rd Church Anniversary with the theme, “Lord, Enlarge My Coast” (1 Chronicles 4:9–10), we are reminded that God desires for His people to grow deeper in faith, wider in compassion, and greater in usefulness for His glory.

We thank the Lord for His goodness through the years, and we prayerfully look forward to how He will continue to lead and use His church in the days ahead. To God alone be all the glory.

Today, we take time to thank the Lord for the gift of mothers.

To all the mothers in our church family 🥰💚 thank you. For your love that keeps showing up every day, your prayers that never seem to stop, your quiet strength in difficult moments, and your faith that continues to guide your homes. You may not always see it, but your life is speaking loudly of God’s goodness.

We also honor every mother-figure who has stepped in with care, patience, and love. Your role is not small in God’s eyes.

We pray that the Lord refreshes you today 🥰💚 giving you joy, peace, and strength for the days ahead. May you feel appreciated not just today, but every day.

We are truly blessed, grateful, and overwhelmed with thanksgiving as we celebrate 53 years of God’s faithfulness to Payocpoc Baptist Church. 🙌💛

God has been so good - He has guided us, sustained us, and carried us through every season. From humble beginnings to this very day, His grace has upheld us, His love has strengthened us, and His mercy has never failed us.

Indeed, we can boldly declare -“Thus far, the Lord has helped us!”
With thankful hearts, we embrace this year’s theme, “Enlarge Our Coast,” lifting up the prayer of Jabez as our own:

✨ Strengthen our faith in every season
✨ Renew our vision for His direction
✨ Expand our service for His glory
🔥 Reviving Hearts. Reigniting Service. Reaching Further for God’s Purpose. 🔥

This celebration is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and a declaration of our continued dependence on Him. We move forward not by our strength, but by His unfailing grace.

As one church family, we come together in unity, thanksgiving, and expectation—trusting that the same God who has been faithful for 53 years will continue to lead us into greater things ahead. 🙏

“LET GOD BE THE CAPTAIN”
📖 Genesis 6:1–5, 8, 11–17

In the story of Noah, one truth stands out
There was no steering wheel in the ark.
Because God Himself was in control.

Many of us want God to save us…
but not lead us.

But real faith is not just believing in God
it is surrendering every part of our life to Him.

💭 Your plans
💭 Your relationships
💭 Your struggles
💭 Your decisions
💭 Your finances
💭 Your ministry
💭 Your future

👉 When God is the Captain, every direction has purpose.
👉 When God leads, even the storm becomes part of His plan.

The question is:
Are you still holding the wheel…
or have you fully surrendered it to God?

“HE STAYED”

Good Friday called us to behold the suffering of our Lord Jesus Christ not as a mere story, but as the very work of redemption.

“He was betrayed.
Beaten.
Broken.”

Betrayed by one of His own.
Smitten and afflicted.
Wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities (Isaiah 53:5).

Yet in all these things, He opened not His mouth.
He had power to call upon heaven, to be delivered from the cross

Yet He stayed, because leaving would mean losing you.

Herein is love not that we loved God, but that He loved us (1 John 4:10). Our Lord saw the cup of suffering, and He drank it fully. He saw the weight of sin, and He bare it willingly. He saw us lost and undone and He remained.

He stayed.

Not by constraint, but by compassion.
Not by weakness, but by willing sacrifice.

Not for His sake, but for ours.
Let us therefore consider:

What manner of love is this, that a man should lay down His life for sinners?

Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. (Romans 6:1–2)

Are our hearts truly humbled before the cross?

As we gather this day, let us remember with reverence and godly fear. Let our hearts be broken for sin, yet filled with thanksgiving for so great salvation.
