A Blessed Father's Day! 💚

Today, we give thanks to God for the gift of fatherhood and for the men who guide, protect, and inspire us through their love and sacrifice.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our beloved parish priest, Rev. Fr. Jojo D.G. Quesada, for being a true spiritual father to our parish community. Thank you for your faithful service, prayers, and dedication in leading us closer to Christ. Your guidance and care continue to strengthen our faith and unite us as one family in God.

May the Lord bless you with good health, wisdom, joy, and abundant grace as you continue your ministry. May St. Joseph, the faithful guardian and patron of fathers, intercede for all fathers and spiritual fathers, that they may be blessed with grace, peace, and enduring love.

12th Sunday in Ordinary Time
“DO NOT BE AFRAID”

We all have fears! No exemption. Whether you’re a parent worrying about your children’s future, a young person unsure of the path ahead, or someone burdened by work, health, or finances, fear shows up in many forms. But in today’s Gospel, Jesus gently repeats a message we need to hear again and again: “Do not be afraid.” Not because life has no storms, but because we are not meant to face them alone. Faith is not the absence of fear; it is choosing to trust God even when life feels uncertain.

Jesus invites us to be brave in the things that matter most: to live the truth and to keep doing good even when it’s unpopular or difficult. In a world that often rewards pride, power, and shortcuts, He calls us to humility, honesty, patience, and love. Yes, it’s not always easy to stand for what is right or to endure sacrifices without complaining but real strength is found in staying good even when it would be easier not to. God does not always remove the struggle, but He assures us that He is with us in it.

And finally, do not be afraid when you feel alone or unnoticed. There are moments when doing what is right feels slow, even unrewarded but the Gospel reminds us: we are worth more than many sparrows. God does not forget His children. So even when progress feels delayed, stay faithful. The path of goodness may be slower, but it leads to lasting joy. In the end, “do not be afraid” is not just comfort, it is a promise that God is greater than all our fears, and He walks with us in every step.

With hearts full of gratitude and joy, the Parish of Saint Joseph the Worker warmly congratulates Rev. Fr. Jojo DG. Quesada on the celebration of his 16th Sacerdotal Anniversary today, May 26, 2026.
For sixteen years, he has faithfully answered God’s call through his dedicated service, inspiring homilies, compassionate guidance, and unwavering commitment to the spiritual growth of the community. His ministry has become a source of strength, hope, and encouragement to many faithful who continue to journey closer to God through his leadership and example.
The parish community is truly grateful for the blessing of having a shepherd who continually serves with humility, faith, and love for God and His people.
May the Lord continue to shower him with abundant grace, good health, wisdom, and strength as he continues his sacred mission in the Church.
Happy 16th Sacerdotal Anniversary, Father Jojo! May God bless you always. 🙏💚
