Today, the Church lovingly remembers St. Philip Neri, often called the β€œApostle of Rome” and widely known as the Patron Saint of Joy. His life is a beautiful reminder that holiness is not only found in solemnity, but also in a heart filled with genuine joy rooted in God.

St. Philip Neri lived a life of deep prayer, humility, and simplicity. Yet what made him especially remarkable was the joyful spirit that radiated through everything he did. He believed that sadness and discouragement have no place in a soul that truly trusts in God. His famous approach to holiness was gentle, approachable, and filled with humor β€” drawing many souls closer to Christ not through fear, but through love and joy.

Despite his deep spiritual life, St. Philip often expressed joy in simple and even playful ways, reminding others that faith should never become heavy or lifeless. He once said, β€œA joyful heart is more easily made perfect than a downcast one,” teaching us that joy is not just a feeling, but a fruit of a soul rooted in God’s presence.

His devotion to the Holy Spirit was also central to his life. In fact, he experienced a powerful outpouring of the Spirit that deepened his love for God and strengthened his mission to guide souls toward holiness. Through prayer, confession, and spiritual direction, he became a source of renewal for many people in Rome.

On this memorial, we are invited to reflect on the joy that comes from a life lived with God. Not a fleeting happiness based on circumstances, but a lasting joy that remains even in trials. St. Philip Neri reminds us that holiness does not take away joy β€” it perfects it.

May we learn from his example to live with lighter hearts, deeper faith, and greater love for God and others. And in moments of heaviness or discouragement, may we remember that true joy is found in Christ alone.

St. Philip Neri, pray for us. πŸ™

Today, the Church celebrates the memorial of Mary, Mother of the Church, a title that reminds us that Mary is not only the Mother of Jesus, but also our spiritual mother.

This title β€œMother of the Church” has been used since the early Church by saints like St. Augustine and St. Ambrose, and it was officially proclaimed by Pope St. Paul VI during the Second Vatican Council in 1964.

At the foot of the Cross, Jesus said to Mary, β€œBehold your son,” and to the disciple, β€œBehold your mother” (John 19:26–27). From that moment, the Church has always seen Mary as mother to all believers.

Mary was also present with the Apostles at Pentecost, praying with them as the Holy Spirit came upon the Church. She has remained a mother who walks with the Church in faith, prayer, and hope.

In 2018, Pope Francis added this memorial to the Church calendar on the Monday after Pentecost.

In every season of life, Mary continues to lead us gently to her Son, Jesus.

Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.πŸ™

Saint Anthony of Padua, intercede for us this Tuesday.

This short prayer carries a profound sense of comfort and trust for every believer. Saint Anthony is among the most cherished saints in the Churchβ€”not only because of the countless miracles attributed to his intercession, but because of the simplicity and holiness that marked his life. Rooted in humility, wisdom, and deep love for Christ, he continues to inspire the faithful. When we seek his intercession, we are doing more than repeating a devotion; we are entrusting our intentions to someone who dedicated his life to guiding others back to God.

Over time, Tuesdays have become especially linked with devotion to Saint Anthony. Many faithful mark this day with prayers, lighting of candles, or acts of charity, confident in his powerful help from heaven. Beyond tradition, however, this practice gently invites us to slow down amid the demands of the week and return our focus to God. It becomes a moment of reflectionβ€”asking ourselves what we may have β€œlost” in our spiritual journey: peace, patience, clarity, or closeness with the Lord.

Though he is widely known as the β€œfinder of lost things,” Saint Anthony’s intercession reaches far deeper than material concerns. He helps us rediscover what is truly essential: a faithful prayer life, a forgiving spirit, and a renewed sense of direction. In a world filled with noise and distraction, his example calls us back to simplicity and attentiveness to God’s voice.

As we live out this Tuesday, invoking his intercession reminds us that we are never alone. In moments of struggle, he strengthens our perseverance. In confusion, he points us toward truth. In weakness, he leads us back to grace. His life witnesses that holiness is not only found in grand gestures, but in daily faithfulness to God.

Thus, this prayer becomes more than wordsβ€”it becomes a quiet act of surrender: β€œLord, through Saint Anthony, guide me today. Help me rediscover what I truly needβ€”You.” πŸ™

May 20 IS WEDNESDAY DEVOTION TO OUR MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP

Every Wednesday, countless faithful gather in prayer and devotion to honor Our Mother of Perpetual Help β€” the loving Mother who never grows tired of listening to the cries of her children. In moments of fear, uncertainty, suffering, and even silent battles that no one else sees, Mary gently leads us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

The image of Our Mother of Perpetual Help reminds us that we are never abandoned. As the Child Jesus clings to His Mother in trust, we too are invited to hold onto Mary’s hand, especially when life becomes heavy and uncertain. She is a Mother who comforts the weary, strengthens the weak, and intercedes for us with a love that never fails.

This Wednesday, let us pause for a moment of prayer. Entrust to Mary your worries, your family, your dreams, and even the burdens you cannot explain in words. Ask her to guide you, protect you, and help you remain faithful to God amidst the trials of everyday life.

May Our Mother of Perpetual Help remind us that hope is never lost when we place our trust in the Lord.

Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for us.πŸ™

While many consider the number 13 to be unlucky, for us Christians it carries a beautiful reminder of the love and protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In Fatima, Portugal, Our Lady appeared to the three shepherd children on the 13th day of each month from May until October 1917. It was also on October 13 when the great Miracle of the Sun occurred β€” witnessed by thousands who saw the extraordinary sign from heaven.

Decades later, on May 13, 1981, Pope St. John Paul II survived an assassination attempt in St. Peter’s Square. The Holy Father believed that the Blessed Mother herself guided and spared his life. As an act of thanksgiving, he later placed the bullet from the attack into the crown of Our Lady of Fatima’s statue.

Because of these powerful moments in history, the number 13 has become, for many faithful Catholics, a reminder not of fear, but of Mary’s loving care, her intercession, and her closeness to her children.

So whenever you see the number 13, may it remind you that Mama Mary is praying for us, guiding us, and watching over us with a mother’s love. πŸ™πŸŒΉ

Heads up, dear faithful! πŸ™

β€’ May 17, 2026 β€” Ascension Sunday
β€’ May 24, 2026 β€” Pentecost Sunday
β€’ May 31, 2026 β€” Holy Trinity Sunday

On Ascension Sunday, we remember the glorious Ascension of Jesus Christ into Heaven, where He sits at the right hand of the Father. Before ascending, the Lord entrusted His disciples with the mission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. This feast reminds us that while Christ ascended bodily into Heaven, He remains with us always through His presence, grace, and the Holy Eucharist.

On Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary. This powerful event marked the birth of the Church and filled the disciples with courage, wisdom, and zeal to preach Christ to the world. May the Holy Spirit renew our hearts and strengthen our faith in these challenging times.

Then on Holy Trinity Sunday, the Church honors the great mystery of One God in Three Divine Persons β€” the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Though this mystery is beyond human understanding, it reveals the perfect communion of divine love that we are all called to share in.

As these sacred Sundays approach, may we prepare our hearts through prayer, confession, Holy Mass, and deeper reflection on God’s love and mercy. Let us not treat these celebrations as ordinary dates, but as opportunities for spiritual renewal and deeper union with Christ. πŸ™

MAY 10 IS MOTHER’S DAY!

May 10 is a special day dedicated to honoring all mothersβ€”their love, sacrifices, and unwavering care that shape our lives in countless ways. It is a moment to pause and express gratitude for the women who have nurtured us, guided us, and stood by us through every joy and struggle. In a deeper sense, Mother’s Day also reminds us of the beauty of self-giving loveβ€”a love that reflects God’s own tenderness.

For many, this celebration goes beyond biological motherhood. We remember grandmothers, godmothers, spiritual mothers, and all women who have taken on the role of caring, teaching, and loving others as their own. Their quiet strength and daily sacrifices often go unnoticed, yet they leave a lasting impact that words can hardly capture.

In a Catholic context, this day also naturally leads our hearts to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the model of all mothers. Her humility, faith, and unconditional love continue to inspire every generation. As we celebrate Mother’s Day in this Month of Mary, may we thank not only our earthly mothers but also entrust them to her loving care, asking her to bless and guide them always. 🌷🌻🌹

Saint Jude Thaddeus, pray for us!

May this Thursday be a blessed reminder that no situation is ever beyond God’s power. St. Jude, the patron of seemingly impossible causes, teaches us that hope is not based on what we see, but on how firmly we trust in the Lord.

Today, may your heart find strength, especially in moments of uncertainty. When plans don’t go as expected or answers seem delayed, may you have the courage to keep prayingβ€”just as countless devotees of St. Jude have done, holding on even when everything feels unclear.

May you receive patience as you wait,
peace in the midst of trials,
and clarity when confusion arises.

Through his intercession, may doors that seem closed begin to open according to God’s perfect will. And even if the answers come in unexpected ways, may you recognize the quiet grace within themβ€”the kind that not only resolves difficulties but deepens your faith.

Let this day also remind you that you do not carry your burdens alone. Just as St. Jude remained faithful among the apostles, he continues to walk with those who feel weary or forgotten, lifting their prayers to God with constant care.

So today, entrust your intentions with confidence. Speak them sincerely. Trust without hesitation.

For within every β€œimpossible,”
there is always space for grace to work.

St. Jude Thaddeus,
helper of the desperate,
bearer of hopeβ€”pray for us.
