Our Purpose: W̲I̲N̲ning Souls for Christ, D̲iscipleship, O̲bedience, and W̲orks of S̲ervice

Purpose Statement

At the Christ the Chief Cornerstone Christian Church, we use seven key letters to summarize our purpose of existence as a church:

W̲I̲N̲ning Souls for Christ (Matt. 28:19-20, Sharing the Gospel of salvation to the lost that they may be won to Jesus Christ
D̲iscipleship (Teaching believers the whole counsel of the will of God from the scriptures)
O̲bedience (Exhorting believers

to live in obedience to all the teachings of Christ and the scriptures)
W̲orks of S̲ervice (Ephesians 4:12, Equipping and training believers to serve in Christ's body that the church may be built up

(Knowledge and Love Together – Part 2)
📖 1 Corinthians 8:4–13

Christian freedom is not simply about knowing what we are allowed to do. It is also about considering how our choices affect others, especially those who are weaker in faith.

Paul reminds us that idols are nothing and that food itself is not the issue. Yet knowledge alone can lead to pride, while love leads us to consider the spiritual well-being of our fellow believers. What may be permissible for us can become a stumbling block to another.

Our freedom in Christ should always be guided by love. We willingly limit our freedom when doing so protects, strengthens, and builds up our brothers and sisters in Christ.

In a culture that often elevates marriage or views singleness as incomplete, God's Word presents a different perspective. Paul teaches that both marriage and singleness are good gifts from God, each with a unique purpose in His plan.

For some, singleness provides a unique opportunity for undivided devotion to the Lord. For others, marriage is God's gracious design to be cherished and faithfully lived out. Neither status is superior. What matters is living faithfully in the calling God has given us and using it for His glory.

Whether single or married, our greatest joy is found in wholehearted devotion to Christ.
