Like Hannah, we may remain faithful to God while carrying pain that we do not understand. Yet even in those moments, we are called to remain steadfast and bring everything before the Lord.

Her faithfulness did not exempt her from suffering, and the people around her only made her pain heavier. Yet instead of allowing her circumstances or peopleโ€™s treatment to determine her response, she brought her pain to God.

๐ƒ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฅ, ๐›๐ฎ๐ญ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ฅ. Scripture shows us that people experienced different outcomes in sickness and healing. โ€œThe secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to usโ€ฆโ€

๐ƒ๐ข๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐’๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, ๐Ž๐ง๐ž ๐’๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐†๐จ๐:

โ€ข ๐„๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐š โ€” A prophet of God who became sick and eventually died from his illness. Yet even after his death, God performed a remarkable miracle through his bones when a dead man was revived after touching them. (2 Kings 13:14, 20โ€“21)

โ€ข ๐‡๐ž๐ณ๐ž๐ค๐ข๐š๐ก โ€” The king of Judah who became seriously ill. He prayed and wept before God, and the Lord answered his prayer by giving him fifteen additional years of life. (2 Kings 20:1โ€“6)

โ€ข ๐“๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐ก๐ข๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฌ โ€” A fellow worker and ministry companion of Paul who remained sick. Even though God performed extraordinary miracles through Paul, Trophimus was left sick in Miletus. (Acts 19:11; 2 Timothy 4:20)

โ€ข ๐„๐ฉ๐š๐ฉ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฌ โ€” A fellow worker of Paul who became seriously ill and was near death, but God had mercy on him and restored his health. (Philippians 2:25โ€“27)

โ€ข ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐–๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ˆ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ โ€” After suffering from bleeding for twelve years, she reached out to Jesus in faith and was healed. Jesus told her, โ€œDaughter, your faith has made you well.โ€ (Mark 5:25โ€“34)

โ€ข ๐๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ž๐ฎ๐ฌ โ€” A blind man who cried out to Jesus for mercy. Jesus heard him, and Bartimaeus immediately received his sight and followed Him. (Mark 10:46โ€“52)

These stories remind us that ๐†๐จ๐ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ž. We may not always understand why one person is healed while another continues to suffer, but we can still declare that ๐†๐จ๐ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ ๐จ๐จ๐, ๐‡๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฅ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‡๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐š๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ก๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ž๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ง ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ. ๐’๐จ ๐ฐ๐ž ๐ค๐ž๐ž๐ฉ ๐›๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐†๐จ๐ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ค๐ž๐ž๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐š๐ฒ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ข๐ง ๐Ÿ๐š๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ.
