TODAY IS THE SOLEMNITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI🙏
Today, the Holy Catholic Church joyfully celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, traditionally known as Corpus Christi. This sacred feast invites us to profess and deepen our faith in one of the greatest mysteries of our religion: that Jesus Christ is truly, really, and substantially present in the Holy Eucharist.
The Eucharist is the greatest gift of Christ to His Church. On the night before He suffered and died, our Lord instituted the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper, giving His Body and Blood as spiritual nourishment for the salvation of the world. Through the words of consecration spoken by the priest during the Holy Mass, bread and w**e become the Body and Blood of Christ, while retaining the appearance of bread and w**e.
As Catholics, we believe that every time we attend Mass, we encounter the living Jesus—not merely as a symbol or remembrance, but truly present among us. He comes to us in Holy Communion to strengthen our faith, heal our souls, forgive our venial sins, and unite us more closely to Himself and to His Church.
The Solemnity of Corpus Christi is also a public witness of our faith in the Blessed Sacrament. Through Eucharistic processions and acts of adoration, the faithful proclaim that Christ remains with His people, fulfilling His promise: “I am with you always, until the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).
In a world often marked by confusion, division, and uncertainty, the Eucharist remains the source of our strength, the center of our worship, and the summit of our Christian life. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, the Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life” (CCC 1324).
May this Solemnity of Corpus Christi renew in us a profound love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Let us approach Him with reverence, receive Him worthily, spend time with Him in Eucharistic Adoration, and allow His presence to transform our hearts and lives.
Lord Jesus, truly present in the Most Holy Eucharist, increase our faith, strengthen our hope, and inflame our hearts with love for You.
"O Sacrament Most Holy, O Sacrament Divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine."😇
