Today, we honor the patron saint of laborers and farmers, San Isidro Labrador. His life teaches us that our daily work, no matter how humble, can be a form of worship when offered to the Lord.🙏🏻

TAN AWA: KASAYSAYAN UG MILAGRO NI SEÑOR SANTO NIÑO

Ania ang mubo nga kasaysayan ug ang milagroso nga gigikanan ni Señor Santo Niño de Cebu sa pinulongang Binisaya:

Ang Sinugdanan (Origin)
Ang kasaysayan sa Santo Niño nagsugod niadtong tuig 1521. Sa pag-abot ni Ferdinand Magellan sa Sugbo, iyang gihatag ang imahe sa Balaang Bata isip gasa sa pagbunyag kang Hara Humamay (nga giingnan og Reyna Juana) ug Rajah Humabon.

Paglabay sa daghang katuigan, niadtong 1565, nibalik ang mga Katsila ubos ni Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. Taliwala sa nasunog nga balay sa usa ka lumad, nakaplagan sa sundalo nga si Juan Camus ang imahe sa Santo Niño nga walay garas ug wala maunsa sa kalayo. Giisip kini nga usa ka dako nga milagro ug timailhan nga ang Balaang Bata gusto magpabilin sa Sugbo.

Ang mga Milagro
Nailhan ang Santo Niño nga "Milagroso" tungod sa daghang katuigan nga pagpanalipod sa mga Sugboanon. Pipila sa mga iladong pagtuo ug milagro mao ang:

Ang "Batang Gala": Adunay mga istorya nga ang Santo Niño mawala sa iyang altar sa gabii ug makit-an sa buntag nga adunay mga amorseko (sikyat) ang iyang kapa, timaan nga siya nuroy aron motabang sa mga nanginahanglan.

Panalipod sa Gubat ug Katalagman: Sa panahon sa Ikaduhang Kalibutan, daghang bomba ang nahulog sa Sugbo, apan ang Basilica ug ang imahe nagpabiling tibuok ug wala maunsa.

Tubag sa Pag-ampo: Liboan ka mga deboto ang nagpamatuod nga naayo sila sa sakit, nakapasar sa eksaminasyon, ug nakalingkawas sa kalisod tungod sa ilang pag-ampo ug pagsalig kaniya.

Karon, ang Santo Niño mao ang sentro sa pagsaulog sa Sinulog, diin ang tibuok Sugbo mosinggit og: "Pit Senyor! Kang Mama kini, kang Papa kini!"
